Allie 0
I think you totally have a right to be upset. The people I play with at home games do not do this. We have an agreement that, when playing for money.....we play straight up, with proper rules and etiquette. And it is absolutely against the rules of etiquette for anyone to talk about a hand that is in play, if they are not in the hand. Coaching is TOTALLY out of the question. However, I've had other friends tell me that when they played with some other people...stuff like that was going on. For me....if I played with people doing that.....I would NOT play with them again. Period.

krup24 0
Have you ever tried FullTilt?I have recently made the switch from Stars to FT. I love FT. Honestly my big hands are holding up and I really love the site. Best interface. My only problem is the traffic which I cannot figure out why it isn't improving.

Honestly my big hands are holding up and I really love the site. Best interface. My only problem is the traffic which I cannot figure out why it isn't improving. What games are you playing? I play NL cash games on FT and although the traffic is nothing special, I usually find plenty of fish to make money off of. I made the same switch about 6 months ago from pokerstars to FullTilt and it definitely seems like my big hands hold up much more.
insano 0
I also switched to FT. Much better players imo. Which is better for me because it seems like I get better reads from better players. If stars was shut down tommorow it wouldn't bother me in the least.

Been doing pretty decent tons of fishies. The MTTs are not even near as good as Stars which is also a lil bit of a prob.
navybuttons 15
if this happened in a live casino i could definately make a point for calling the floor man over. you can't talk about the play of a hand while the hand is still going on. but i would do it before the hand was over. i would do it right then. because if he's on a case card draw, i allow it to happen and he hits his card i can't be upset that he sucked out on me when i would have been happy have him call in that situation.basically it's not an excuse for getting sucked out on if you want a call. dublin 0
You are right that it's not fair, but since it's a home game there really isn't anything you can do about it. If you want to continue to play with these guys you are going to have to learn to deal with it.
lboarts 0
You are right that it's not fair, but since it's a home game there really isn't anything you can do about it. If you want to continue to play with these guys you are going to have to learn to deal with it.Or you can attempt to educate them on poker etiquette through tactful dialogue. It sounds like these guys are fairly new to the game, which means playing with them could be a profitable situation. OP admits these are his friends, so I would think he could approach this subject with them without too much confrontation. That said, I have no idea of their ages or maturity levels. This could be a bunch of kids playing poker, who knows.
mbreon 0
To the OP, I have played in home games in the past where players would "coach" each other when in all-in confrontations.....I talked to the host of the game and asked them to tell the players not to continue with such actions the next time around....it became a part of the weekly rules and no one did it since that time. Can't remember who posted it first, but they are right....poker is not a team sport. Make sure to tell the host of that game to clarify on the rules in the future and to let all the players know, so that you can avoid confusion down the road....welcome to the forum. Nikki_N 17
One player per hand please. Though, getting angry about it openly may not be the best way to address it. If there is a polite way to bring it up during a break or before the next game, that would be best.
evesixer 0
i would totally be irked. it is different if someone is trying to learn and everyone else knows that. that is more understandable. however, this person's actions are uncalled for.
