quads vs. a straight flush

Recommended Posts

Good story but not believable to any point what so ever. Who the hell folds Quads getting 2-1 on their money, NO ONE!!! Bah, pointless read.JEFF
The question here is who calls with 68s when the board comes AA5 LOL!
To be fair, he said he checked after the flop. Its his own fault for slow playing, I guess.
LOL....NH

HAHAHAHAHAHolly balls man, that is just so stupid. I would love to hear that the place you were playing at had a bad beat jackpot, that would just finish off this ridiculous story. If I was in your position, the other guy can show me 6s8s and I'm still calling, that is just ridiculous. I will absolutely never make that lay down in that position. It will cost you so so much more to make those lay downs in the long run.

Wait, most Bad Beat Jackpots are aces full beaten by four of a kind or better.. not 4 of a kind beaten by a straight flush.  Most casino's have a small jackpot and a large one.  Aces full of 99's and lower with both cards in hand being in play is the small jackpot, and AA full of 1010's with both cards being in play is the large. So 4 of kind beaten by whatever is not the jackpot.
Well all the local casinos and poker rooms in my area payout a bad beat jackpot if you lose with Aces full of Jacks or better. Quad Aces > AAAJJ...

the jackpot usually in those no limit games get pretty big. I saw one at the bike at $40k, min. $20k. So if this guy folded he missed out on 10K (50%). But I guess it was a good laydown...yeah right for only 30 more dollars, pay the guy off and reload and hope he plays 68s against your pocket aces all the time.
