Sushiman 0
I'm meeting up with a bunch of college buddies and will be in AC friday night til Saturday night. It's not a serious poker trip but many hours of poker will be played. I'm looking for any good bars or places to eat, hopefully not gimmicky casino buffets but good local stuff that's a short cab ride away from the Boardwalk. We are getting there 9-10 PM on a Friday and the plan is to just have a drunken all nighter session in the poker room. What's a comfortable room for low limit poker and 1/2NL that will go all night? I've played the big three (Borg, Trop, Taj) but figured I might try a smaller room this time if the waits get too ridiculous. Does Caeser's or the Showboat have good drinks/action at the wee hours? All the restaurants at the Borgata are superb....though some of them are quite expensive. Stick to the casino bars....You really go to AC for the casinos or the beach....the town itself is kinda crappy.

Does Caeser's or the Showboat have good drinks/action at the wee hours?i really think the best place to eat is the buffet at the showboat. i love that place. yeah its 20 bucks but they have everything and i mean everything. as far as card rooms i would just stick to the big three. showboat just opened one up and it is very small. well actually it might be allright if you just want to go get drunk. they have some 2/4 and 1/2 nl. so it wouldnt be bad and i went for the grand opening and they still didnt really have a wait. i have never been to ceasers poker room so i dont know
dead money 1
Go to Pic-a-lilli's. Crappy little bar with some of the best food you can find. The wings are the best I have ever had.
Sushiman 0
Mmm I love the White House too. Can't wait to get one of thier cheesesteaks again. Yea I guess I'll try the Borgata, and then back to the Trop which is my regular room.

Not sure what the action is like, but if it's the weekend, I'm sure you'll find plenty of it anywhere they have a cardroom.
shedrackle 0
One of the best restaurants off the casino row is Angelo's Italian restaurant. There are two but ask for the orignal. It's not all that far from the trop. Also, Chealsa's pub right across from teh trop is one of the cheapest places to eat and drink in AC. It's open 24 hrs a day.
elkang 0
Caesar's is the softest room there. Not the best drink service though. Borgata has the best drinks period. But, you may be facing some more able players at that time, too. For late night drinking or food let me suggest the Irish Pub. Some find it a bit too spartan but I like the place and food. Cheap and good. And you can drink there all night long. Remember White House closes early - like 9 PM most nights. I have it in my Treo somewhere.Good luck and have fun.
