I hope tehy show  a lot of the fina; table. but knowing ESPN they will make it suck somehow.
Yeah, we'll get a few Matusow soundbites, Hellmuth's 15 minute exit interview after getting busted, 50 Norman Chad bad jokes, and 8 hands of poker.

Congrats to Mike and a GREAT performance by Phil as well showing that all Mikes BS didnt get to him he played excellent and hopefully Daniel will rethink his silly notion that Phil might rank in the top 60 NL Tourney players out there currently...thats just silly and I think deep down he knows that...he can still bring his A game.

The second hand of the final table will be the most exciting, i'll guaruntee that. I was jumping around in my house on the edge of my seat as i was listening to the livecast on cardplayer.com. It's a good one, or a bad one if your are rooting for mike...

Just my 2 cents, but I thought ESPN has done a decent job of their coverage of the main event. We've seen quality poker aw well as bad beats, and a lot of the more "unknown" player's personalities. It almost excuses the fact that it took them 4 months to produce.

the circuit shows were terrible, but espn has done a pretty good job with the main event, especially last night's episodes. i expect the TOC show will be decent. also the TOC was 2 hours last year with just 1 table, no reason to think it won't be at least 2 hours this year.

I love watching Mike Matusow. after watching this World Series, he is without a doubt one of my fave players. its interesting how im becoming as much a fan of a poker player as i am of some athletes.

Yeah, luckily she teaches the same class at 9 so I stayed for like half an hour(instead of the full 50 mins) and then left to be at my 9:30 class and like 2 seconds after I get there the teacher says she's cutting class short and we can leave!! That's why I'm here now.

Hand 1 - Tony Bloom has the button in seat 8, and Mike Matusow has the big blind. (Doyle Brunson, who was eliminated in tenth place, would have been the small blind this hand.) Everyone folds to Matusow, giving him his blind back, along with the antes. Matusow has already started jarring verbally with Phil Hellmuth, taking a break between hands to discuss sunglasses. Then he pulls out the "new, official Mike Matusow sunglasses," and puts them on. They are Raymer-style, with a holographic image over the eyes. But instead of reptile eyes, they feature a hand giving someone the finger. The crowd has a good laugh, as does Hellmuth.Dannenmann has also given Hellmuth a gift, which he opens, ignoring the fact that it could be dangerous. The box is opened, and he pulls out a stuffed donkeyDuring the hand, Matusow is introducing the players to the crowd, similar to how he did in a CardPlayer.com video at the WSOP this summer. He calls Dannenmann "the man who ruined my life," and calls Hellmuth "a legend in his own mind." Tony Bloom gets labeled, "the guy who took all my chips yesterday." Matusow repeats his claim that he'll raise every hand, and then tries to guilt Phil Hellmuth for the fact that Phil didn't bring any gifts to the table. Tournament Director Jimmy Sommerfeld asks the audience to give a round of applause to ESPN and SoBe's new energy drink (Adrenaline Rush) for sponsoring this event. Mike Matusow then asks the crowd to give a round of applause to Harrah's for inviting Phil Hellmuth to show up and take all of their money. The crowd applauds, but it's likely that only a dozen or so really get the joke. See Daniel Negreanu's blog or Paul Phillips' blog for more details. Hand 13 - Steve Dannenmann has the button in seat 1, and everyone folds to David Levi in the big blind, giving him the blinds and antes. Hand 14 - Grant Lang has the button in seat 2, Corkins raises to $12,000 under the gun, After the hand, Matusow says, "Let's make some prop bets. What's the over-under on Phil actually playing a hand today?"Mike Matusow is now claiming that this is a four-handed table, discounting Hellmuth and some of the small stacks. Hand 16 - Phil Hellmuth has the button in seat 4, Matusow raises to $12,000, and Hellmuth says, "I raise a quarter of a million." He moves all in. Matusow rips into him, saying only a superstar could raise like that. Matusow mocks him for overbetting the pot, but Matusow folds. In other news, Hellmuth played a hand before Matusow's over-under had passed. After the hand, Matusow says, "Too bad he didn't have A-K in one of those suits. [Hearts or diamonds.] He would have said, 'I raise a quarter of a million.' " Matusow was talking to Hellmuth during the hand, and Hellmuth calls the tournament director over to complain. He doesn't mind Matusow's mouth in between hands, but has asked him to be quiet when he's on the sidelines and Hellmuth is involved in a hand. Matusow has been warned. There are more barbs thrown between Matusow and Hellmuth between hands. There's no way they'll be able to fit all of this into a Christmas Eve broadcast, due to time, and taste. Hellmuth tells Matusow that he's ready to declare war, and Matusow points out that he's already declared war against everyone else at the table. Hellmuth says he's only at war with Matusow. Matusow says it's more like the U.S. against Iraq -- one big bomb, and it's all over. After the hand, Matusow asks Hellmuth to stop giving Hoyt chips, because it will make it harder for Matusow to win this event later on.And this is only through 40 hands. HA HA HA. I can't wait for a best of Mike and Phil on DVD.
