nah. After I made a big cash I got all excited and started playing big buy in sit n gos and tourneys which lost me quite a bit. then I cashed a bit out for "invesment" purposes. I had a a reeeaally bad month of october at the tables, and well..that was that. back to grinding it and hope for another big tourney win.

Tough to define, I've cashed out a couple thousand so far but currently only have about 500 in poker accounts. I've been cashing out into my checking account to pay for all the stupid stuff I buy for a while, and haven't had to delve into the 7K I have in the market yet.

800 on Full tilt, 600 on party, 5o0 live, 550 at Titan poker (soon to be stars...it's 1100 but a joint bankroll with my roomie). I've made the jump to 2/4 a few times...and sucked ass everytime. It's partly variance and part me sucking ass I'm pretty sure.

Online: was around 1500 until Pokershare shipped me my check. For the next few days its $5o on Pokerstars, until I get another $500 that is currently in transit from the bank to Neteller. If Pokershare didn't shut down I would have kept the full 1500 online but I couldn't bear to get rid of 75% of my bank account. Was playing 2/4 6 max limit, and 5-50 tourneys for fun, not sure what I'll do now. Live: Whatever I can afford to lose when a game or casino trip comes up.

combined live and online br is about 10.5k right now. I will always hold a place in my heart for instant bankroll, without it I would have about 2k instead (only live games).
Explain about the instant bankroll, and what happened..........

4k total bankroll right now, but I play super microlimits. I'll play from 5 cent/10 cent up to $1/$2 max. I love to play, but I also know I am still on the learning curve and grinding out hours right now to get a feel for my game before I start to play with any real stakes. I simply don't feel that confident to play at higher stakes, and we all know scared money doesn't win, so I'm staying put right now at my super small limits while I work on my game.Ray

I appreciate the advice but I know that I can beat the addiction. Even smokers can quit and alcoholics become reformed and my gambling addiction isn't that severe.
Not if they keep smoking and drinking they can't.
I haven't gone so bad that it's going to be that hard to reform myself. If i lose the 600, i can still afford to buy in again. Besides I love poker, I can never quit.
That doesn't sound like a complete addiction at all.You can "beat the addiction" but you can also "never quit"...
it appears to be a contradiction when you only quote certain words and phrases but I'm actually not a bad poker player, I can win but I blow my "roll" gambling on other stuff. the key to my success is to stop playing the other stuff and focusing solely on poker. I can afford to play the limits I play at and i'm nowhere near going broke.

16k, all big buy in MTT's
That's interesting. How much did you start with? Did you hit a major score. Talk about this a little bit. I think it might be educational. At least I'm interested.
me too :club:
Well, my story is more of a what not to do than a what to do but I'll tell it anyway. When i started with 100 dollars I had no clue about br management or anything of the like. I played a ten dollar MTT with a 100 dollar bankroll  which i won for 700. Then i continued to play 10 and 20 dollar buyin MTT's with the 700. I had like 4 final tables in a week and my br was soon at 4000. Some cashes here and there, nothing big, but then I satelited into a 100 dollar MTT which I got third in for about 5000. So now the br is sitting at 9k and I played the super thursday on Partypoker which is a 150 dollar buy in MTT. Long story short after like 6-7 hours of play i got 5th for about 7k and here I am now. I'm in a big slump and am not even playing good poker anymore but at least I have a decent br to try to get back on track.

Is this a thread so we can try to brag? If so I got 2.2 million right now. In play chips of course. :club: But seriously I am somewhere in the neighborhood of $500. God I hate bills. If I never had w/d $$ to pay for bills I'd have over 5k. I sue to play over my b/r when I didnt know managment skills like I do now. I had a couple 1kish cashes from $20 tournies, when I had less the $200 to play with. LOL lucky me.
