troyomac 0
Hey pokerzealot!!! How will you know you will be successful playing poker for a living? I have seen alot of top pro player don't always make final table. Good luck.I rather stay at the job to protect security. Good luck your future. I hope you make the right choice. Many FCP's think you made a wrong choice.yoda? is that you?
HammerG 0
get a loan and go back to school. You will go up and crash hard and it will be tough going back to making pizzas. The professional poker life is one where very few can handle the ups and downs.Even if you are a lower leverl player. The variance is incredible and based on the bankroll you are probably starting at, there is no way you are going to make enough to live on plus continuing to build a bankroll to actually make money. blp_dh 0
Yer crazy unless you quit to move up jobs again when UPS is hiring truck washers. Seriously, lets examine this - can anyone truthfully say this is a good decision? That right there tells you all you need to know about "going pro". If you win a satellite, get into a big tourney and make $150K+ then it's time to go pro. Or if you can travel around and actually enter legit events and make some cash, then it's time. But to make $7/hour - wrong idea.

BilliardsBoy 0
(even though i was the self proclaimed fastest pizza cook in the history of ther company)Dynon07 is, not you. And don't go "pro". Try getting a better job than Pizza Hut. Go to school, get out in the real world. Don't risk a year or so of your life, which could have a crippling affect on the rest of it, on a pipe dream. So few actually make it, and the ones that do can still have a hard time. Some things that most people who say they can go pro never think about:HealthcareBenefitsTaxes on winningsAffect on personal lifeRisk of failing compared to an educationMost importantly, how the highs and lows can hurt your ability to pay rent/utilities/food/lifestyle
scottrude 0
We all wish we could live on $6.50 an hour with no bennies and grind for a living. Good luck man, you may be the lucky one.... It's funny but the more money you have the more you want and "Need". In the end you still have the same amount. Just enough to live off of. "With cooler toys of course".
