For anyone who is interested - this one hurt really bad. My Jacks full lost to a Royal Flush. It was the first I have seen in all my time playing on Pokerstars and I play A LOT.*********** # 3 **************PokerStars Game #2999107989: Tournament #14811758, Hold'em No Limit - Level III (25/50) - 2005/11/07 - 18:59:52 (ET)Table '14811758 1' Seat #4 is the buttonSeat 1: questpoker75 (2650 in chips) Seat 2: 37chevy (1990 in chips) Seat 3: JBB1111 (1365 in chips) Seat 4: Lownzee (990 in chips) Seat 6: jmac_attac (2390 in chips) Seat 7: blp_dh (1400 in chips) Seat 8: masoned (790 in chips) Seat 9: therealjlodi (1925 in chips) jmac_attac: posts small blind 25blp_dh: posts big blind 50*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to blp_dh [Kh Jc]masoned: folds therealjlodi: folds questpoker75: raises 50 to 10037chevy: calls 100JBB1111: calls 100Lownzee: calls 100jmac_attac: calls 75blp_dh: calls 50*** FLOP *** [8d Ks Js]jmac_attac: checks blp_dh: checks questpoker75: bets 20037chevy: folds JBB1111: calls 200Lownzee: calls 200jmac_attac: folds blp_dh: raises 1100 to 1300 and is all-inquestpoker75: folds JBB1111: folds Lownzee: calls 690 and is all-in*** TURN *** [8d Ks Js] [Jh]*** RIVER *** [8d Ks Js Jh] [As]*** SHOW DOWN ***blp_dh: shows [Kh Jc] (a full house, Jacks full of Kings)Lownzee: shows [Ts Qs] (a Royal Flush)jmac_attac said, "OHH"Lownzee collected 2780 from potLownzee said, "royal"*** SUMMARY ***Total pot 2780 | Rake 0 Board [8d Ks Js Jh As]Seat 1: questpoker75 folded on the FlopSeat 2: 37chevy folded on the FlopSeat 3: JBB1111 folded on the FlopSeat 4: Lownzee (button) showed [Ts Qs] and won (2780) with a Royal FlushSeat 6: jmac_attac (small blind) folded on the FlopSeat 7: blp_dh (big blind) showed [Kh Jc] and lost with a full house, Jacks full of KingsSeat 8: masoned folded before Flop (didn't bet)Seat 9: therealjlodi folded before Flop (didn't bet)

uhhhe put all his money on a STRAIGHT FLUSH draw..he was favored on the flop against your two pair. your only hope was by pushing hard on the flop he would have been dumb enough to lay it down, which i dont think he was going to anyways.

The guy with the draw was the one that pushed in the first place. Both made the right play and it turned out poorly. No reason to lose sleep.

I mean, I see what you are saying, but it's just me maybe, that early in a tourney i'm not putting all my money in with any draw. Guess I'm a tight player?
ok i see what you mean, it pretty much a coin flop going to the turn...gota gamble right? tough break, hope the cards better for ya

Thx... I'm not really crying or anything though, it's only a $15 tourney on Pokerstars hehee, that guy is right, no sleep to lose... just thought it was an interesting hand and wanted to share... I've heard a lot of this stuff about Pokerstars being rigged and so on... anyone have any suggestions to a site with a better reputation? The good thing about Pokerstars is there is always a game to find for whatever you feel like playing...

The griping you hear about it being rigged is just griping. Play where you are comfortable, don't listen to the reputation of any site if people claim the game is rigged, that's just silly. If you hear about trouble cashing out, take it much more seriously. This is where a site's rep is much more important.

Funny stuff happens there, trust me I've played there for 2yrs and after the last month I will never play there again. When Zimmer and Suited Up griped about it I defended it to no end, but now I see the light and no more money will ever go on that site expcept for Negreanu Opens which I hope will be moved. What I had left is on FT.Go to FT, I enjoy the site 10x more, only problem is the significant decrease in traffic but its gettin better.

the two pair check raised all in.but, with an open ended straight draw and a flush draw (or in this case a straight flush draw) you will hit one of those draws more than half the time. of course, against two pair there is the danger of a full house if the board pairs.

With that much money in, and he was 54% Fav. I'ts an automaitc call.Poker Stars Rigged or not ?!? The truth is we dont get to konw. Maybe its just short term bad luck...... Maybe its rigged? I think its funny to hear people say why it "is" or "isnt" because it really makes sense both ways. Why rig it, when you are making so much money anyway? Right? Why not rig it when you cant get caught, and if you did your off shore and no harm can come to? ( ok some harm you lose your site) But really Who knows? Its easy to think its rigged when you have 6-8 or more bad beats. Or 2-3 of your friends agree with your thoughts. And lets not forget the greed of big bussiness. So if your think its rigged dont play there, tell your friends dont play there. I for one have much better luck playing live.Maybe its the players, maybe its the site. I dont need to know, witch it is, I just need to play where I win.BTW, has there ever been an indepented group that has done any realy investigation on this? I'm not talking about the group that the online sites own that claim its independent, but a real place, or group that has done an investagation.Peace
