theredpill99 0
I heard on TV how Scotty Nguyen used to work at McDonald's and Burger King before finding poker and hitting it big. Now that's quite a story. What did Daniel want to do with his life ? Also, why does Daniel keep playing poker ? Poker causes me so much stress that if I made 1 million, I'd probably give it up or just play for fun at the .10/.25 NL games or something. Or I'd do some charity work or something. theredpill99 0
Daniel should help disabled people. Why doesn't he help disadvantaged people across the country instead of going from Casino to Casino ? Seriously. What's the point in having 5 million if you already have 1 million ? Go help children that were born deaf or without eyesight. I would probably do a lot of charity work if I was rich but I'm not and so that is why I play poker.Go buy a paraplegic person a new wheelchair.

Poker causes me so much stress that if I made 1 million, I'd probably give it up or just play for fun at the .10/.25 NL games or something. Or I'd do some charity work or something.exactly. Remember that Full Tilt tounament or whatever it was on tv? Maybe it was UB, i dont know, one of those poker sites had an invite tournament and they hooked up the final table players to heart monitors. Daniels' heart rate stayed very close to resting, even during big pots. It was prett sweet. Phil Gordon on the other hand, had little control on his heart rate...it looked like he was actually playing for his salary! Of course that guy should never have to work again, with his bank account. TarHeelAce 0
Who made you the moral police? I could ask you why you're not out helping people instead of posting on an Internet forum. Are you Daniel's wife, accountant, or lawyer? Didn't think so. Don't tell him what to do with his money or time. Look at yourself first.

You think daniel should devote his life to charity just cause he's made some money? by that logic nearly every professional athlete would have to stop playing their sport, CEO's would have to quit their job...etc. You're stupid. He mentioned in one blog that he attended a charity auction i believe, i'm sure he's done more then his share, rather then complaining about him why don't you go help out instead of worrying what other people do. theredpill99 0
Yeah, I think the world would be a lot better if professional athletes weren't so selfish and gave some of their salary back into the community to help sick people. I'm not talking about Daniel, though not everyone else. I was hoping some of you would reply with, "Your post is worthless because Daniel IS doing charity work but no one has replied like that so I assume he isn't. " I don't do charity work because I am one of the sick people. We aren't talking about me and I don't claim to be rich. First of all, if I was rich, I wouldn't make a website where all I talk about is being rich. I like Daniel Negreanu and that is why I'm here but I think it would be nice if he helped some people every now and then. No, I'm not kidding. If I made a million, I'd never work again and I'd probably help people but I sure as hell wouldn't try to make a few more million because that's completely pointless. custom36 5
The ONLY way that anyone can say "Daniel should stop playing poker and do charity work for a living" is if someone has made millions upon millions of dollars playing poker and quit it to do charity work. If you haven't done that, what you think he "should" be doing in life is meaningless. The original question is an interesting question (What did he want to do before poker), but I think he's addressed this before. pascalc 0
first of all its his own decision what to do with the money he earned. second: though i dont take it for granted that someone who has a million has to do charity stuff, daniel did charity stuff.and third: theredpill99, your excuse for not doing something for poor/sick/handicapped people because you dont have the million stinks. You dont need a penny to do something good. Take your poker savings, buy a $5 toy and visit a child with cancer in the hospital. But maybe its better for you to wait until you can afford to do something good, making up excuses takes less effort than actually doing a thing.my best wishes
