leftygolfer 7
For those of us that do not have a $35K win online:Did UB take any taxes out of your winnings/did you get a 1099?I won $5K at a WPT event and was paid in casino chips... no paper trail and no taxes. Suited_Up 2
Not to speak for him...But I am pretty sure they don't take anything, it's all on you to do it or try to get around it, but I know he was going to take the safe way and pay em.

Oziumrules 0
It is probably up to him to declare. If UB has a record of an american winning and the IRS doesnt recieve anything, he might be in trouble. I could be wrong though..
Motumbo 0
aren't the poker rooms that are online, technically out of the country? And why would you have to pay taxes on that?Didn't Hachem not have to pay any kind of taxes on his 7.5 mil because he was from out of the US?Wouldn't it work the same way? AKoffsuit 0
I think that's why the U.S. government (IRS) is now taking a closer look at internet poker sites. You know they have to try and take their "rake".
