BIG_L_RIP 0
NL game at the Taj yesterday. I'm fairly shortstacked from a recent bad beat, and possibly tilting a tad. Not sure if that influenced my gameplay or not.Full table, I'm BB with Q/6 of spades. Two limpers, SB completes, I check. A word about the SB: he's been playing quite rocky, surrending his SB even in unraised pots quite a lot. He has the biggest stack of the 4, I have the two limpers covered.Flop: K/J/3 of spades. I flop 2nd nut flush. SB leads at it, I smooth call, figuring he has perhaps 2 pair (K/J seemed likely given his tight play), or possibly trip 3s. I smooth call to see what happens behind me. 2 more smooth calls. Hmmm. Not sure what's up here. Turn is another 3. Now, I'm clearly not crazy about that card. But, had a J or K paired, that'd be far more frightening given the makeup of the hand and players. No way the two limpers had pocket jacks or kings. If one of the limpers made quad 3s and hadn't protected their set against the 3 spades, as Mike Sexton says, well good luck to you, my man. If SB makes quads, so it goes. SB checks, I move in with 2nd nut flush (I move in very rarely, I much prefer deep stack poker and manageable raises. But my stack here dictated this). If someone has the nut flush, not much I can do about it. I figured I could drive off, or at least charge, the naked A of spades. Both limpers promptly move in behind me. Ungood. The SB who has us all covered, calls as well. Yuck. 4th seat turns up A/4 spades for the nut flush. 7th seat shows 10/2 for the 3rd nut flush. How he thought that hand was good given all the action in front of him, I don't know. Naturally, SB turns up J/3 for the boat. So to summarize, 3 flopped flushes, and the J/3 proves the nuts. Table was buzzing with all that action.

KowboyKoop 0
that is quite the flop/turn card for a lot of action. This only proves that live poker is rigged. Seriously though, tough hand there. Probably not much you could have done.

BIG_L_RIP 0
I was entertained. TY. But trust your read and fold the turn.you're right about that. With the flop call relative to my stack size, I still could've escaped. And should've. The hand was unlike my typical play in several important, and clearly costly, ways. The fact that I had the limpers covered influenced my thoughts as well.

However, it ended up being teneight who got priveleges taken away for making offensive or deragatory comments. How Ironic.

Thanks for the sterling reply.it entertained me for 19.4 seconds.same here, and i think that's all the OP was thinking.crazy stuff happens sometimes, but then again live action is rigged (A for originality).and if you get shortstacked, rebuy. you could've got away from this. getting busted is demoralizing, so don't play shortstacked.
