In light of the recent discussion over the Veteran's forum, I think it's time we add some moe moderators to these forums. Currently we have myself, Chris Bigler, JaysonWeber, and Governator as moderators. FCP "Biz Guy" Chris Lash is a no brainer to add to the list, but he is a busy "Biz guy" so he wouldn't have a lot of time. One that comes to mind is Steve7Stud. How do you all feel about that choice? One of the ket things to think about when looking for a moderator is language. Sorry Royal Tour and Ron Mexico, that means "need not apply", lol. It's important that a moderator has a clean repuation here. Non-abusive, no potty mouth, spends a lot of time on the forum, and can also recognize abusive posts and get rid of them. That's my main concern here. I often feel like the "Veterans" are too hard on new people and it's just not very nice. I hate to play "Daddy" all the time, but guys, sometimes you just get so out of hand it drives me crazy! So anyway, I like the choice of Steve7Stud but am also looking for suggestions from all of you. Who do you think would make for a good moderator? Try to think of people aside from yourself if you could.

Hey sign me up. Ask the Army folks I would do a great job.And I would promise to never use bad language, or post picks of hot girls (unless you want me too :club: ) again, Scouts Honor!Besides you need a moderator with a little age and a good republican.

I know he has been here a long time but doesn't have a lot of posts. I don't know if that is because he only posted when he felt necessary or that he is really busy and can't find a lot of time to post. He is a great guy and is great for the job, I just want to make sure that the moderators are people who are constantly checking the boards.

I think anybody like teneight, allinbluff, myself, custom, royal, ron, zim, etc. would be a good choice. I am constantly on the boards and I don't know about the others but if I became a mod, i could lose my "potty mouth" in the interest of making the forums better. That is why I think while past reputation should be considered, it should not be the defining of if you can become a mod or not.

I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that I think Army members "need not apply". And I'm sure I don't need to explain why.

Personally think it wont do any good. Most of the problems with the board aren't from the "newbies" it's from the Vets. Defatnly going to run into a problem where someones deleting other peoples posts just for spite or cause they feel the post isn't worthy. Some of the top posters on this site are guilty of worst things then any "newbie" on this forum.

figures that someone with 28 posts would say this, I think it depends on what you consider problems. I come to this site because I enjoy it, and because I enjoy playing poker. I flame people, and Im capable of taking the flaming, I dont see this as a problem as long as it doesnt get too personal. I think the cluttering of boards by pointless or repetitive posts is much more of a problem than flaming, and 95% of the time these pointless or repetitive posts are from noobs.
