Ok, so the boys want to add this game into the mixed game we have going on, but there is an argument over when you pitch the third card. The choices appear to be:a) You pitch the card after the flop, BEFORE anyone bets.B) You bitch the card after the flop, AFTER EVERYONE bets (or checks)c) You pitch the card after the flop when it is your turn to actd) none of the above, its really _______________Any help from Crazy Pineapple rules gurus would be appreciated...Ray

On UB the discard occurs after the flop betting is complete. So...(B)

Ya, this used to be a very popular game in Montana before they discovered Omaha and it was always discard after the flop and bets.

Danke for the quick replies all. Someone was playing an even weirder variation where you dumped before the flop, but that was dumb.If the right choice was C, the value of position goes up SO MUCH that I don't see how I could not pick this game everytime I was dealer.Ray

I'm not exactly sure, but from what I understand, there's three versions of pineapple. Normal, Crazy, and Lazy.In the normal pineapple, you ditch preflop, crazy after the flop, and lazy after the river. It's a fun game and easy money at 8/b on UB.

at most dealer's choice games i play in, the dealer picks a game for an entire round. this stops people from people being able to profit by picking particularly position-dependent games on their deal.

This is what I've seen and played although I've never played "lazy" pineapple before. Normal you discard a card preflop and crazy you discard on the flop usually at your turn. I can't see how when the discard occurs on the flop is a positional advantage though if you're discarding face down?

Good, that is extremely important. I love to play games like Guts for instance and stupid crap like that, but if I'm last to act, I'm sure as hell picking a more position-dependent game.The easiest way is to just have a person pick a game on his deal. Then everyone deals a hand of that game. When the deal comes back around to the picker again, it skips him, and the person to his left picks a new game and is the first dealer for it. Easy peasy.Good luck,Daniel
