basshuntr 0
apparently he has a contract to write a poker book, when it's supposed to come out I have no idea though.dam, what the hell is this gonna be called"how to get incredibly lucky and win 5 million dollars"Ok Eddie, you usually make me laugh, but have to come to Raymer's defence here.Did he get lucky.....yes...every WSOP ME winner gets lucky. Raymer to me is a great player and very deep thinker about the game. His posts on 2+2 and his commentary show that. (Not to mention his awesome run in this year's ME) Heck, even the man Hellmuth himself came over to say how impressive he was and Ivey talked about what a great tourney player he was.He is also one of the classiest champions we have had.</off soapbox>Basshuntr

Timdog1010 0
I honestly thought the Raymer-bashing would end after word got out about his performance in this year's ME. To the haters out there I must ask:What does this guy have to do before he begins to win your respect?
milestodavid 0
It's great to see that some people actually share my thoughts of Raymer. Of course you're still a donk in everyone's book unless you follow your performances up with strong finishes, and he did just that. Not only that, he is a class act and was a great ambassador for poker this past year. I'm sure the haters are at a loss for words now that people have acknowledged that he's a great player. lips24 0
I would buy it just because he has class and doesn't make an ass out of himself at the table. Here's another question. What do you think are the two best poker books out right now?

I'm not the biggest Raymer fan, but he is now a proven solid tournament player. 2 top 20's in the 2 biggest ME fields ever??? That's more than just luck. It's not like he pulled a Moneymaker and never won again, or worse, had to watch the ME because his wife is now better than him (Varkonyi).Plus, Raymer has gotten really good at building chip castles. He was lucky, but he realized that you had to get lucky to win. So I guess he maximized his chances by taking chances early to amass a huge stack, then dominating from there on out.yes
