zimmer4141 0
I'm not teneight, but I guess I consider myself an all right tourney player, so I'll share some advice. Even though it is probably a big buyin for you, play it like a normal tourney. You don't have a lot of room, so you can't be afraid to make moves. If you play too weak early, then you'll get shortstacked and into bad situations.

turd ferguson 1
I know this doesn't relate to tourneys, but it's just all around solid advice.

My goal is to make it into the top 250, and if I get even close I have a feeling I'll just let myself get blinded to death :?
Stylin_Fish 0
You're getting in through that 9 dollar satellite right goose? So while it is a big buy in, it's not really like he's putting up the full money so feel free to call all ins with k9. :-D Take this satellite opportunity to be in a decent-size buy in and not be worried you've put up all that money to enter and are afraid to lose it. erac22 0
my honest advice would be to cash out the tourny bucks and play a bunch of smaller buy in tournies, hone your tourny game, and use the money you win in those to buy in to the big one. But i'm a donk, so you probably shouldn't listen to me.Good Luck (not in the condescending smash way)erac
goose 0
Actually, interesting situation. I've decided poker's taking up too much of my time at school, so I cashed my PP account out except for $33 to play in a one-time shot at the bigger money satellite to the 1 mil. guaranteed.I came in fourth in that (top 3 got seats), but I got 35 dollars for coming in fourth, so I played a $20 satellite to the 750k, and lost that, and put my last $10 into this qualifier, which I won a seat in.So this is my last shot at online poker until the end of the semester/year (although I'll be lurking on here and playing home games), and I'm kind of pumped that I actually won a seat considering the circumstances. Normally I think satellites are for donkey's, but I'm doing it because it's my last bit of online play for the year.

I'm willing to put money on it I enjoy poker, but I don't earn enough regularly (yet?) to make it worth my while. I'm focusing on grades and building poker tables for profit. Perhaps I'll come back on once in a while for a strat. session or something, but I don't think I'm compulsive as say... tritz... lol.
