Guest
Seriously, is there a team playing worse than the Blackhawks right now? I tried to watch the Detroit game and had to distract myself with a freeroll so I could half watch, and half ignore the parts of the game that made my stomach turn. They had a whole year to try and sign someone worth a damn, and outside of signing a great goalie to play in front of a very good goalie...they did little to nothing to improve the team. ajs510 122
Considering that their last 3 games have been against the powerhouse Wings (who drew up *that* schedule?), I don't think it's time to panic yet. The Hawks have an easier week coming up, they should bounce back with some wins against St. Louis, Phoenix, Dallas, and LA. They've played 5 of their last 7 games against the top teams in the West, it's too early to doom their season. They can bounce back.

They can bounce back.True, but their offense has been horrid, and the defense has been average...It's a bit scary because their pre-season was lackluster too. I guess it's too early to tell, but it doesn't look good.
WestcoastCanuck 0
They looked like crap vs. Vancouver. Naslund had a quote after the game expressing his surprise at how Chicago didn't seem to show up to play. They also looked weak against Detroit in the game I watched, but it was the third game of the triple header. Aucoin is awesome, but they are going as far as Khabibulin will take them. Petoria 0
The only time that I saw the Blackhawks play good was in the 1st period of the last Red Wings game. At least they'll beat the Blues
Mule 0
The Hawks will never have a chance as long as they are owned by Dollar Bill Wirtz(DBW). Reporter "Mr. Wirtz with the team struggling offensively and having cap room, will you have your GM try to land a higher priced forward?"Witz " Derr hmmmm grrr aaaaaaaa hmph"Translation "What spend money, NO!"ps.I'm still shocked that DBW didn't have pay toilets put in at the United Center. TheDaveyG 6
I was very excited for the NHL to come back to chicago, I couldn't wait for these young players to start playing. This season is going to have a lot of ups then downs. The Hawks have a lot of young (very young) talent, but I'm not sure that Yawney is the right coach for this team. It is true that he has had some of these young players play for him in Norfolk, but this is the NHL and it will take some time for this young team to establish an identity. From what I've seen (which is only away games), we aren't using our speed as much as we should. I would like to see for stickhandling into the zone, and less dumping, more releasing down the ice from Vorobiev and Arnason. We are in a tough division, but we if we can make the playoffs then anything can happen. Injuries are already hurting us, if Daze and Ruutu come back healthy then we will score more. P.S. I HATE BILL WIRTZ!!!!
