www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-journal.php?subaction=showfull&id=1130068278&archive=&start_from=&ucat=& I noticed a lot of discussion with people guessing who made the infamous Omaha H/L play, so I figured, why not do a poll about it! Ok so far we've eliminated, Johnny Chan, Ralph Perry, "Tight" Jim, Abe Mosseri, David Grey, and David Benyamine. Johnny Chan: Omaha H/L isn't his best game, and he doesn't play it very aggressivley. He would definitely see the flop from the blind with J-J-7-3 but it he didn't flop a Jack he would dump it on the flop. He doesn't give his money away in this game and doesn't try to run people over in any of the limit games really. When Johnny is in there, he usually has a hand. Ralph Perry: Not many of you thought it was Ralph, but it could have been if he was stuck! Ralph is known as a "nitty" player that plays conservatively. In fact, when Ralph comes into the game he doesn't take his blind right away. Instead, he comes in in the middle so he can save a small blind and get an extra hand. That's nitty! Ralph might be capable of a play like that, but only if he is losing and steaming a little bit. Otherwise, he would never make such a play. "Tight Jim": Most of you would have no idea who Jim is. About two years ago I remember Jim playing anything from $30-$60 to $80-$160 hold'em. All of a sudden he is a regular in the $4000-$8000 game! Jim is an older gentleman that plays pretty solid. In fact, I'm not so sure he would have defended his blind with a J-J-7-3 since he generally plays premium hands. Abe Mosseri: No, it wasn't Abe. Abe is a real student of the game and can afford to learn at the highest levels. He is constantly asking questions like, "Would you have called? Why did you bet? What would you have done with my hand? Omaha H/L isn't his best game either, but he's not retarded or anything. He knows how to play well enough. I doubt he would make a play like this one, but I'm not sure I understand how his brain works just yet. David Grey: David never belonged on this list in the first place. He is a very, very tight player, espeially in the split games. In fact, there is no way David would have even defended his blind with that piece of cheese! David is nothing like a limit hold'em specialist at all. David is an excellent Stud player, but I wouldn't consider limit hold'em one of his strongest games at all. If David were to somehow be involved in this hand, he would have dumped in on the flop for sure. David Benyamine: David is one of the best young players in te world, especially short handed. He is capable of making very sharp lay downs and also has a great imagination that helps him a great deal in short handed situations. Omaha H/L probably isn't his best game and he likes to play a lot of hands, but the only way he could make a play like this is if he was playing for 50 straight hours. That's not as "out there" as it sounds, as David's biggest weakness is probably the fact that he will often play against some of the world's best players for three straight days with no food, and no sleep! When he is fresh, he is arguably one of the absolute best players in the world. The next player to bite the dust is Eli Elezra:Eli Elezra: Eli is actually a pretty good Omaha H/L player. In fact, he might be the best limit Omaha hi player in the world. When that game is in the mix, Eli is the most feared player at the table. Hi-Lo is a totally different game, and while Eli would have definitely called with the J J 7 3 from the big blind, check raising the field on a Q-10-6 flop is just not his style. Eli "may" have called to take a card off, but most likely he would have been smart enough to just fold the hand. So with that, we are down to the final three!

How can it be shocking to Negreanu for Chau to make a bad play. They've played together a lot in the past....
He didn't say it was. He said it would be shocking for the reader of the blog.My votes still on Negreanu.

I would be completely shocked if it was Chau, but I'm gonna go with Barry.Admittedly O8 is DN's best game and according to Barry, Chau's best game is O8. This player is supposed to be a poor O8 player, therefore I go with Barry.

Exciting my two are still in.Still going1) Chau2) DanielAlthough I do believe that leaving Barry and Daniel for the final decision would be pretty typical for a hollywood ending. You are a drama queen DN :club:

Wish I saw these these earlier. Didn't bother to look cause the subject sounded like a typical nonsense thread.DN has alot of respect for Chau's game (Few years ago anyways, probably now too. who knows) and probably wouldn't dog him in public. As we saw in the WSOP DN will needle Barry Greenstein any day of the week. So the answer to "Who was the donkey?" seems obvious.
