Binbs 0
Id like to hear opinions on your favorite site to play poker at why you like it the best.I personally like playing on the Prima Poker Network. The software is great and easy to use. PLay moves along pretty fast. Ive tried Poker Champs, Empire, Party, Pokerstars, Full Tilt, Ultimate Bet, Paradise Poker and the software graphics wise and functionality wise doenst seem like the best.Prime also has some great Guaranteed tournaments. Not sure if other sites have the same.Just dont hear alot about the Prima Poker network so was wondering if anyone else on this forum plays there as well :)edit: typo on Prima

akishore 0
i'm assuming you mean Prima Poker.i play there as well, and besides a few flaws (lack of hand histories, bad SNG structures, not too big a population, no 7-stud hi/lo, etc.), i like the place.the best feature is definitely the speed. right on when you say it kills the competition in terms of hands per hour and just outright fast software. i find that places like pokerstars (notoriously slow IMHO), party, pokerroom, etc. are all too graphical so they take too much time. when someone bets, i really feel a delay, same when i bet. but prima is different, it's really nice. and it's definitely easy to use, as well.as for guaranteed tournaments, i'm sure other places do the same. personally, though, i'm not a big fan of those because usually the guarantee is less than what the prize pool actually is since so many people enter, so it makes no difference. and when there aren't enough people to create the guarantee, only top 5 or 10 payout at most, not enough compared to the number of people that buy-in (e.g. 200), so it becomes a long shot to actually win any money.my name is akishore on prima poker btw. what about you?aseem
wrto4556 0
I really like partypoker and pokerstars. Party because of the gross amount of bad players, and pokerstars is a happy medium...that have half the amount of bad players, but twice as good software and support. custom36 5
PokerRoom.com is my favorite. I play partypoker sometimes, but I prefer PokerRoom.
Suited_Up 2
What skin of prima are you all talking about... because I downloaded royal vegas and tried it out and it was the slowest thing i've ever seen in my life.
shamhawks 0
Party poker for me...that's where I started and guess i will always be partial to them....I have been playing there for like 5 years..for anyone else who played it back then. do you remember the football pool they used to do..I made bank on that...for every 200 hands you played you would get to pick the football games, up to 5 entries...you get 5 trys at picking the games is easy...made over $1000 that year picking the games.I'm starting to really like full tilt, and when they start having more players i will split my time. sebbro 0
My favorite site is Ultimate Bet. I like their interface. It's simple and easy to use. There's nothing in the window that bother you when you play. What I don't like about the Poker Stars interface is that it writes what the player has done (like raise, check) in the circle where there is the player's picture, so it erases the pictures and draw them again all the time. It's like there is always something flashing in the window and I find it annoying.Ultimate bet also has a great choice of sit'n go and big multi-table tournaments.I'm now beginning to play on Empire Poker because it's the largest poker room on the internet and I would like to see how their games are. SBriand 4
I play at Pokerroom exclusively. But not by choice. I have a Mac, so i don't have a choice since VP is too unstable for me to continue to risk losing connections and crashing in middle of games with money on the table. But don't get me wrong, I like Pokerroom. I have made a lot of money there so I have no complaints. Though after about 8pm EST time the SnG's get super damn laggy.
lokibeat 0
I started playing online at Pacific Poker. I really loved their $2 20 player SNG's. I liked the software, but it was buggier than a first launch of a Microsoft operating system. It really wore me down over time.I like UB because...Love the interface. * Simple background yet classy. I put the "Vegas" room as my default and imagine myself in a swanky hotel suite overlooking the strip. * Controls are straight-forward. I usually like to bet the pot, so that button is frequently used.* Game selection is pretty robust. I really only play hold'em, but sometime experiment in other games.* Tournament selection is pretty robust too. Depending how healthy my bankroll, I usually play the $5 SNG, but like to play the $1 if I'm hurting. * I don't know about other sites, but I recently discovered the .01/.02 NL game which is perfect for when I'm drinking while playing and don't want to risk the bankroll. I like UB despite...* Tough competition. It seems pretty tough, but I haven't played for real money on other sites, so I can't really judge. I just know that I used to do better, and I don't think I've gotten worse, have I?* Insanely reckless MTT players. Maybe it's par for the course, but I remember this Rebuy tourney I played in, this guy with a handle "TournamentDirector" went all in on every hand with whaterver he had. He was at about 20k chips when he came to our table about 20 minutes into the tournament. He lost a couple, but won frequently than could be expected. He gets to about 50k, and then just sat out for about two hours. That's a dirty tactic in my mind.* Not enough deposit bonuses. I've only deposited there when they have a bonus, since it's easy to earn back, but since I've made two deposits, there are no new bonuses.
jaffa_cake 0
Last year I played alot on Bugsysclub - some of you won't have heard of it, maximum I've seen on there is 2500 players. I liked their 3 monthly leagues - tourney league, cash game league, and mini cash game league. You get points for how many raked hands you participate in, and a league is formed based on how many points you have. At the end of the month, you get a cash prize for your position in the league. But the party poker redeposit bonus is much better value, and I've been playing there recently. I'll be trying Pokerstars soon as I want to get back into playing big tournies again.jaffa
StonedViper 0
I played a few times on Trident poker (part of the Prima Poker network) and have found alot of people there and fast paced games. I hate having to wait for a bunch of slow players that go AFK.

Raindog 0
I play on the Prima Poker network through The Gaming Club. I agree that it is extremely fast and the Gaming Club has a great sign-up bonus that is easy to clear if you play at least $.50/$1.00 (faster at $1/$2 or better). There are enough bad players to make it worthwhile. The SnGs are horrible, but they have great freerolls. Their tournaments are limited to pretty much just hold 'em but they have a large range in terms of buy-ins, including regular $1.00, $2.00, $5.00 tournaments with varying sized fields so its a good place to practice that part of your game.I also have accounts at Party Poker and Ultimate Bet and play certain games (mainly limit hold 'em or Omaha 8B) or certain types of games (tournaments, ring games) on certain sites. This is a great site for people who want to start playing freerolls and build a cash account. You can win bugsy bonus points (BBP's which are essentially pennies) in freeroll tournaments then you can play against others in ring games or tourneys to win more and convert them to cash 1000=10 dollars. You can also use them to play your way into a cash tourneys. There are not as many players at other sites but plenty enough to play with. Also it has the most intuitive easy to understand interface. Simple but great. I suggest you give it a try. No I'm not affiliated in any way I just like it. Hey Jaffa_Cake see you online I usually play my wife's account wtichie.

Hey Jaffa_Cake see you online I usually play my wife's account wtichie. :wink:Yeah I started there on the free side at pokerpages, playing the freerolls. Then I realised when I could do well consistently I should deposit some $. I put in $70 to bugsys club and never looked back. Recently after a night out, I've started to play on the bbp no limit 1/2 blind tables and sober up for a few hours. I expect I'll be on there tomorrow night at about 1am gmt . I seem to like putting bad beats on people, and bluffing and showing, just to get on their nerves 8) . I'm jaffa_cake on there (you probably guessed that). I probably like Party's software the least, but there are so many bad players there that I have begun to play cash games on here (the sit-n-go format is so horrendous I just couldn't do it). Thank you , Amy JeanYeah I've played there some as memento I remember playing you in some sit an go's. However, the site still needs some work. When you have the window minimized it does not beep or flash that it is your turn to act. You can't type in a bet amount, just the stupid scroll bar. You should be able to decide what you are going to do in advance, but the option for your bet size doesn't come up until your turn. I do like the simple graphics (like pokerpages) and it is pretty easy to get around. Hopefully more people will join soon.See you there.
