I callFlop is 10 - 9 3 I check guy bets 15 cents, I check raise him all in for 0.85 cents and he calls.Turn 9 River Q He has A K and rivers his flush. Was playing a SNG...down to 4 people.Had 66 on the button. UTG raised one unit. I called. The BB called.Flop came j96 rainbow. BB made a small bet. UTG raised about 3x the bet. I went all in to protect my set against any straight draws. BB folded.....UTG called, which left him with about 100 chips....crippled.He had AJ offsuit. Turn was Ace, river was Jack.Not the worst beat in the history of mankind....but i went and checked the odds. I was 98.1% fav after the flop, and still 90.1% fav after the turn. This was the start of many bad beats that has lasted over the past 5 months. Just so you know... this is not a cash game rather a $150 buyin in with 30 players. We are 1 hour in... I am doing well making moves when I should and building my stack. I get KK. Dealer puts out a min. bet of 50 in the pot. Worried about the ace I only raise $200. He calls. Flop comes KC 10C 7D. I put out a bet of $500 hoping he drops he calls. Turn comes 10h. Yes I have the boat. I took him all in for the rest of his chips which was about $1800 which would have given me a very commanding lead. He calls me.. So at this point I think he may have quads, working on his set, or trying to river me out with the Flush. He turns over a AC JC... river hunting for a straight, or a flush which was fine because I had him beat. Doesnt a QC come up. At the time I was like ok you got the flush but I got the boat. Just about ready to take the chips and someone says hey he has the Royal! I almost lost my breath... Anyway that is my worst bad beat... I couldn't believe it. I was shocked and angry at the same time... but it is poker. It was the first time I saw a royal in a live game. Only other one was when I got it playing online in a tournament. It's great because it technically is a bad beat on the river, but not only was it much worse than 60/40 on the flop, but I also capped preflop UTG with 2 6 suited, and then capped the flop when I flopped bottom pair.Even funnier is that people actually took my post seriously.http://fullcontactpoker.com/poker-forums/v...1922&highlight= Link to post Share on other sites
