You dont need info from others to know where you're at in this hand. You have no pair, no draw, and one overcard. You have 6 outs at most, and more likely 3. There's a flush draw and a straight draw on the board, neither of which you have any part of. You have 4 opponents, one of whom raised preflop, and one of whom cold-called. Oh, let's not forget you're completely out of position. What more do you need to know in order to check/fold this hand?

But the reality is, if someone hit the king they're betting it, so the lead in bet was probably dumb.... Ray

I used to make plays like that all the time. Realize though that unless your A high is best right now against 4 callers (almost never is), the straight and flush draws are actually both favorites over you. Preflop raiser will bet/raise, and so will K, 9, and maybe 7. You dont find out how many outs you have by betting.

3 betting preflop to try to isolate late pos raiser seems plausible.Anyone else?
Maybe...but I don't like isolating with AQ. It's a drawing hand that can also be dominated. I'd rather just see the flop from OOP and check/fold when nothing develops.
