Teph 0
If any FCP'ers plan on being around Casino Windsor or plan 0n being around Windsor tonight/tomorrow night, I am taking a short notice trip out there. If you just so happen to be, leave a reply/PM, maybe I'll see one of you there. Yea, it's a real shot in the dark, but hey why not? :-)
Jennings7 0
Damn, I'm probably going there but not within the next couple days, probably the next couple months. Good luck there.
rbakken2504 0
Used to go there every weekend, the NL games might be the softest games anywhere, other than 30-60 at Canterbury. I love the town too, fun place to party. Unfortunately, I am back in MN and its too far of a drive for every weekend

Brantford guys!Haven't been to Bford yet, but there's a bar right across the street that used to run 1-2, 2-4, and 5-10 NL games, free drinks, fairly small session fee. You ever go to Port Perry? Teph 0
Talk about a frustrating day...I got into the card room around 4:30 PM, by around 11:00 I was up nearly 1100 (CAN), then I proceeded to get the driest spell of hands. Not rags, but instead hands such as:10h 9hOn a 8h 7h 2d board against total calling stations calling with hands such as A2. I NEVER hit one of these draws, I had WELL over 15. As of 6 AM, where my pocket 10's got outdrawn by 8 6 (A mere 10xBB bet preflop + 30x on flop where he hit a flush draw and gutshot) I am up... 120. Nothing in the history of my poker life has been this annoying. Today's plan: Relentless aggression, big stacks are playing for all of their chips all day long against me :)BTW: I will have to check out any other card rooms around Canada sometime, leave some replies with your favorites
BigPhish 0
How do the NL100 tables at Casino Windsor work for rake? I heard it was a (ridiculously high) flat fee per 1/2 hour?
Phil Deiwert 0
How do the NL100 tables at Casino Windsor work for rake? I heard it was a (ridiculously high) flat fee per 1/2 hour?I've only played there once because of the rake--it's $6 (Canadian) per half hour. So including tipping dealers, I gave Casino Windsor about $75 for the privilege of an afternoon of live poker. It was my first and only trip to a B&M, so I don't know how bad that is, but it seemed really high.
InsanityCubed 0
It is high, but the games are so soft that it's worth it. You just need to make sure you have enough buyins to last if you don't hit hands. You will get paid off on your big hands though.
scottyb007 0
If you are still in windsor, they are running tournies this coming week. Monday-Friday. I am going to be there tomorrow (Monday) morning for the 50$cdn buy-in at 10am. If you get bored, though, of windsor, come across the border and try out either Motor City casino's 200max buy in 1/2nl, or Greektowns 100max 1/2nl. Both are super soft games. Just a heads up
BigPhish 0
9 or 10 seats?Doesn't much matter... they're making $108 to $120 an hour spreading $100 NL. They damn well better have Cheetas babes under the table for that sort of rate.I fold.

Phil Deiwert 0
Hey Scottyboo, what's the rake at Motor City and Greektown? Detroit's less than an hour for me, I've thought about trying one of them instead of going back to Windsor.

Coop3369 0
I only go maybe once every two months it's quite rare and I have won every single time I've played there and was just wondering if it's worth it to make the 20-30 min drive once or twice a week. Like is it always that soft?

Just a heads upHey, I was going to stay, but I was running on like 3 hours of sleep in a 72 hour period, so I left at about 6:30 AM. I wanted to play in the tournament there, but I will have to probably wait until Nov/Dec to play in that. As far as the $6 CAN/half hour Session Fee...It's SO beatable. I am going on over 25 sessions there, only 1 being a $100 loss. Never ONCE have I gone on a rush either. This weekend sucked balls when it came to poker, I missed EVERY huge draw and got sucked out on for every big pot, it was the most frustrating time ever, but I am still +350 American. Unfortunately I invested over 26 hours playing in two days. Bummer. I would go to Greektown, buuuut I am only 19, why else do you think I go to Windsor?! . BTW, Cheetahs is always good in my books!!! It's the local landmark!
BigPhish 0
Don't suppose any of the local Detroit casinos post their tourney schedules online?Last time I visited their web sites, they were woefully lacking any real information. About the only thing they had for poker was, "Come play Carribean Stud!!! Give the House all your money!!! Worse odds than Blackjack!!!".
mrdannyg 274
i play at brantford every few weeks or so. mainly 2/5 because i go to the casinos for fun as opposed to money. now that i think about it, there has been a rather collected asian girl there a couple times, though i think she goes more regularly than marian.marion - do you ever go with a caucasian girl with large breasts and embarassingly small shirts?cheers, daniel
