spt24 0
at that limit I pot it. like above said, get KJ, or in a worse case AKJ9 to commit. You could be against bottom and middle set here, in that case you need KJ+ out, because they are taking your FH outs away. Potting it screams top set to me, which is what you want them to know. Calling is a bad play IMO.
RawTurkey 0
Raise preflop. With a high pocket pair, you want to raise for two reasons: (1) if you hit the flop, you're hand is very well disguised. People will read you for AA and repot it with bottom 2. (2) you often have an equity advantage. On the flop, reraise if you don't like money. Otherwise, move in on the turn. The turn is the betting round in PLO8 where you get a big equity advantage. You move in on the flop, you'll typically be 55/45. That's fine, but you make much more money with your huge advantage on the turn.

(2) you often have an equity advantage.this is bad advice, IMO. If that 7 was a jack or a 9, then I'd raise it up PF, but we don't have enough of an equity advantage PF here. Raising with high pairs is bad practice to get into if you don't have much else going for the handas far as the flop play, Pot it and don't look back. I like to not slowplay in PLO. the beauty of this hand is that we have a blocker for the lower end of an straight draw, but if someone has a high wrap, we don't have as many outs as we'd want since we counterfeit a 10.
