What was your greatest 'rush' ever?

Recommended Posts

Recently, I was in a $140 SNG at the Hollywood Hard Rock Casino and on the very first hand someone made a runner, runner suckout to win the first pot. Then he sucked out again on the second. He actually had good hands for the next 3 wins and then lucked out again for his 6th win in a row. He eliminated 5 players in the first 6 hands. I had never seen such a rush. The most I have ever personally had was 3 hands in a row (does that even qualify as a rush)? What is the greatest rush you have had or seen?

Taking second in a SNG, and then winning the next 4 in a row after that. Those 5 consecutive SNGs had to be my best rush ever. I don't remember really getting awesome cards, but I never got unlucky, which is just as important.

Two of them :Won a $225 single table at Binion's in '04 from one green chip  Am the current points leader in the Reno Hilton Tournament of Champions ( $25,000 free roll in Dec. for top 20% of point leaders ) by cashing in 7 tournys in a row. :shock:PS...one 3rd, 4 2nds, 2 wins. :wink:Edit: As these are mostly locals, most of the Hilton tournys chop 3 handed.

After I stopped playing online poker for 3 months, I deposited 88$ into PP on a Friday afternoon. By the middle of the next Wednesday, that $88 was $4279.I played sngs, limit, NL, you name it. It only built that fast because BR management wans't in my vocab concerning that 88$.6 months later it is now a properly managed bankroll of $23,720 for 30/60 holdem.

I like when people ask what other people's best ______ (fill in the blank) was, as if they give a shit, for the sole purpose to brag about theirs.Just a thought.
Gee, I started the post and you haven't heard me brag have you???By the way, I meant the term 'rush' more as the number of hands someone has won in a row but I enjoy reading the responses so far.

My biggest rush came last year, but in pool not poker.Nice table at Drexel, open to anyone, I was totally on fire for an entire night.Played 8-ball (my game of choice), didn't lose a game for over 4 hours, only lost the last game of the night to a friend. Ran the table 3 times that night too, something rare for 8-ball. My best run night ever was 5 in 7 hours, but that's another story.Best rush of pool I ever had.

this year when i won my seat into the main event at my local harrahs i went on an insane rush. when there were 40 people left i was the lowest stack and only had enough to last 2 full rounds. by the time we broke for the final table i had more than half of the chips in play and was able to basically dominate the final table. during my rush of hands to get in that position i had quads twice within three hands and picked up aces or kings preflop a combined 7 times. if only i could have gotten cards like that during the main event...

My biggest rush came when I first started playing internet poker. I won a $25 MTT which paid around $1100. This was well before I learned about the wonders of bankroll management, so I decided to jump right into the 25/50 limit tables. I had just read Ken Warren Teaches Texas Holdem, so needless to say I already knew everything there was to know about limit poker. I proceeded to go on the biggest rush of my life, winning about 17k in 4 1/2 hours. The funny part of this story is that moments later I went on the biggest tilt session of my life, losing all but $400 in 2 hours. This is why you stay within your bankroll. Oh and paying attention to the limits that the books you read are meant for (Ken Warren Teaches Holdem is meant for 3/6 and 4/8 live)
