The intern contest was also a turn-off... basically an excuse for a bunch of bored political interns and law school students to throw around their best one-liners about pop culture. Anything older than that you can only get with insider.And what exactly is different about his new columns? What has changed so much that makes you miss the "old" Bill? If you are talking about his pre-ESPN website, yeah it sucks that he cant swear and tell some r-rated stories anymore. One of the competitors was from my dorm and I suggested half his jokes....and no, he didn't win. I think he's still doing a great job. His articles have been of a remarkably consistant quality dating back to the Digital City: Boston days. Heh...that was a long time ago.
