He's on pace for 82 shutouts! I think Keenan may sit him for a couple of games so he'll probably be limited to 75-80 shutouts.

I doubt he will beat Broduer in wins because Devils are simply bettter with a veteran team and now how to win.I think he will beat Broduer in GAA,Save %,Saves as far as win I think he can crack 30+ on the Panthers which would be the first time in his career

Luongo will definitely have more saves and thus, a better save percentage than Brodeur because the Panthers give up so many more shots a game. I think Brodeur's and Luongo's GAA will be very close and I think Brodeur will have more wins. I have heard the argument that Luongo should have won the Vezina over Brodeur because Brodeur benefits from playing on a better team. The argument can be made that Luongo's save % and number of saves is inflated because he plays on Florida. Personally, if I had to play 1 game for all the marbles and I could pick any goalie, my money would be on Brodeur. If I had to choose a goalie who I would want in that situation a couple of years from now then Luongo is the choice.

Luongo shuts out Tampa Bay tonight 2-o was the final. His 2nd Shut Out in the early season. Meanwhile Broduer and the Devils lose 5-2 to Philadelphia who looked very sharp from the 2nd period on

Ok... Well i know for a FACT Luongo wont play for 5 million.. 6? Doubtful..He turned down a 5 million deal Florida made him before arbitration.. he said he wants to be payed what hes worth.. There is only one goalie that was acknowledged as one of the top 3 or 4 in the league by everybody, and top 2 by most, and who went on and won the Cup. So, Khabibulin is certainly one of the top 2. Kiprusoff led the full time goalies in SP, he's certainly one of the top 2. Roloson tied him and had more shots, he's ceratinly one of the top 2. Luongo was only .002 behind and had a lot more shots, he's certainly one of the top 2. The best goalie coach in the World put Brodeur in net over Luongo in winning the World Cup, he's certainly one of the top 2.Don't be silly. When there are so many great athletes at a position (there are more now than ever before in net) to say there's no debate about the top 2 is reedicullose.If you ask the head coaches I guarantee you there is only one name that will show up in more than 25 top 2's. and thats Khabibulin.

Khabibulin??? lol... Hes a joke. Just like Lalime. "Subpar" goalies on great teams, thats all they were... Now that their being overpayed to play on garbage teams, theyll sink.Look at their progress so far, theyve each played 2 games, both being well below .900 save percentage. Itll be like that for the rest of the year.Luongo was a top three goalie last year, arguably the best. And apparently the rule changes helped him, making him the only goalie they did help...Luongo WILL be the goalie of the year, this year. He WILL start for Team Canada. And he WILL take Florida to the playoffs, and make them a contender for the cup.
