I was wasting off $10 I had on PS last night. I had AA UTG, I go all-in, everyone folds round to SB who thinks for ages, somebody else says "call him", he calls with his max buy-in of $5 with 57o, he catches a 7 on the flop and then a 7 on the turn.Bottom line: ACES SUX0RZ HOWEVER YOU PLAY THEM!

I generally don't just push when i get aces on pokerstars, because you rarely get a call even at 50 nl.This is commonly referred to as "bad game selection"good luck.

This is true, if I wasn't so lazy i'd get my netteller account working so i could transfer everything to empire and get rakeback. But apparently, neteller needs me to prove that I am who I say I am by going to the social security office and get a third party confirmation. Stars is definately more rockish than other sites, i wanna get my money over to party where it's fishier, but can't until i get neteller hooke up. That's all. And I kinda want a date with smash. I think it would be delightfully awkward.

Bottom line, if you do not make most of your money off of aces, kings, and queens in NL holdem, you are not a good player. There is no way over the long run that you can lose money with these hands if you play them correctly.

Do most people get all in preflop with this hand? When you get AA, do you just push all in and pray for a call? I understand the reason taht I only had $6 when I was ahead.. and he did indeed outplay be because I didn't put him on K3, and fold.. but instead I paid him off.Do most people usually raise to $8 or $10 instead of $6? Let me know, I have lost a ton with AA tonight on Party by doing this. Maybe I'm the donkey.Give me some insight. How do all of you play this hand?

Well I don't reraise a check raiser with it. The reality is, I'd rather win a bunch of small pots with aces getting money in preflop (and a few big pots via AK, QQ KK JJ TT, and probably much worse hands in that game). Than taking it to the flop without to ability to recognize when you're beat (you probably did, it was just too late), by the way, re-raising a check raiser? Not smart. if he has 33 or 55, which is more likely, you're drawing really slim. at least here you had around 5 outs, most times you're drawing much slimmer. Also, what hands would get all of their money in on the flop that you could beat here? AK?

I play mostly 10-20 live. 2-5 NL as well. Online I played a lot of 5-10 but I find there are more donkeys playing no limit. (I am not claiming there in fact are more donkeys playing no limit.....thats just what I have found in my limited experience.) So I play a lot of 1-2 and 2-4 NL online. Some 2-4 PLO too.

I think it's funny that people like this guy don't realize that they're still playing the low limits. Even if you said 20/40 - 100/200, I wouldn't be impressed - these are mid limit games. Anyone who puts any kind of serious time (30+ hours a week for around 4 years - kinda like college) and effort into poker will get this far fairly easily, if that's what they really want to do. Not that poker is easy, it's just relatively easy to get this far given enough time, the reason most people fail is because they can't handle the short term brutality of this game.
