Maybe even show your crap cards a few times to establish that you are a poor, drunken fish.When you've got the nuts, you'll get some calls that you otherwise wouldn't have.Some stiffs really hate people who drink alcohol at the table, and otherwise have a good time while playing poker. I sure as hell wouldn't pay like $2.50 a can or whatever the hell it goes for.That has got to be one of the greatest scams in the world, that and parking lots and garages in New York city.I think I will either buy myself a Red Bull distributorship or a parking lot in NYC, not sure which is more profitable but god they must be close. Heineken's most hours, but stumbling to the table at 4am and playing until 10am I usually start in on white russians for breakfast.Had a LV local once say she loved coming into the cardroom early in the morning to play all the drunk/tired tourists. I said I wasn't drunk "anymore" (it was about 9am and I was on the white russians), but then she said "then why can I smell it on you from over here". I proceeded to take her down in the next pot.I think if you "realize" you're drunk and someone calls you out on it, you can really focus enough to play well or even pass a roadside sobriety test :wink: . I will one day go back for a visit with my family. Going as far as Argentina requires time, I figure at least 3 weeks to really enjoy yourself and get to know the country and money.I have had both the time and the money, just never at the same time!One day soon I will go back and show my kids where pop came from. I was only 4 when I came to the states and didn't speak any English.I understand that right now it is a bargain for Americans although not quite as good as it was a few years back. I either drink Pepsi, or water and recently have found Red Bull to be a great drink to keep up the energy and alertness.I wouln't pay $2.50 per can or whatever they charge but the Taj serves it for free, and for free it is a great way to go.So what do the rest of you drink, particularly if you are going to be playing for a long session?Usually just water.But if am drinking alcohol I usually have some sams and maybe some jager and some ville. I usually win a lot until I get really drunk, then dump it all back off later when I'm playing limit. Hennessey and coke, its the way to go! Of course, Corona is better because the Taj's coke gives me heartburn after about 10 of them. The first time I went to the Taj I played 3 6 limit from 2pm until 4am and drank Henny and coke the ENTIRE time which is one about every 45 mins i guess. They got really strong late night, I went from 150 buy in to around 1000 in aan amazing run where I hit 2 straight flushes and four sets in four consecutvie hands that I had a pocket pair, all of which held up at a very loose table. Also made the final table in on the of nightly 65 buy in nl tournaments after drinking henney and coke from 4pm until the tournament ended at around 11pm. Made 1400 and had a blast.
