Bubba83 0
Alright, many of you have seen me around for about a week or so, and I've really enjoyed both contributing my thoughts and opinions and receiving amazing feedback. I am a winning player online and I think I analyze situations well, but now it is finally time to prove my ignorance to you all. Many posts I see say that a player is x/x/x where x are numbers, I have no idea what any of these numbers mean. I also dont understand what VPIP means, and several other numbers that you guys seem to be getting. I am guessing the x/x/x for a player is being tracked using pokertracker or similar, to evaluate how loose/tight and passive/aggressive someone is, but I don't know what each number means or anything. Can someone clue me in so I stop looking like a dork? Thanks.
STYLINHAWYN 0
POKERTRACKER STATSVP$IP = voluntarily put $money$ into the pot (measures how tight/loose a player is) If you are playing poker online, you need pokertracker! to track all your stats, find leaks, and what not. its a must have if you are serious about making moneywww.pokertracker.comyou can learn everything you need to know right there, oh yeah, they have a free trial version so check it out. its a pain in the a$$ at first but stick with it, its worth italoha
jayboogie 0
Don't worry about it, I'm in the same boat as you. I get confused by all the 32/14/29 and yadayada as well, I also don't use pokertracker either. I don't know I probably should, but I crush my games just fine without it, I might give it a try eventually though.
dimseven 0
For PT - A / B / CA = VP$IP which is how often an opponent is seeing the flop (discluding the BB...) IE if You're in a passive game and no one ever raises, and You call on average twice a round 10-handed, Your vp$ip is around 20 but Your % to the flop is 30-ishB = Preflop Raise PercentageLess than 4-5 is passive preflop, 10+ is aggressiveC = Postflop Aggression FactorThis can be inaccurate if You don't have enough hands, plus You need to gauge it depending on vp$ip... IE if an opponent is 86 / X / 1.80, he is more hyper-aggressive postflop than an opponent who is 15 / X / 2.20...
