SuperJon 175
Anyone read this book? I just got it from UB with my points. So far, it's a decent book, nothing spectacular. I am wondering why he says 100 times the big bet is plenty a bankroll for limit play?

inz 0
I have no clue what it is but I have a few decent winning sessions playing the 4/8 limit games live, but when I play 4/8 online I just get crushed. I have no clue how people play it online and multitable too! When it comes to NL tournaments online, it's different I do much better, but I just get brutally beat with the limit games. In a 4 chip live game the game gets real wild and therefore you should sit with like 200. I feel comfortable sitting online w/ 80-100.
Emmser 0
I have read that book. It is pretty basic.I think he means having 100 bb per session, so if you are playing $1/2 you should sit down with $200.Your overall bankroll should be much higher. And 4/8 live is probably equivilant to .5/$1 or $1/$2 online. However 4/8 online is defintely a much tougher game than 4/8 live.
Ebonwoulfe 0
And if you can ever find a 0.10/0.20 game live, it plays like play money online.
guinevar 0
This book is very basic. It talks about lots of common sense stuff like becoming used to the software of a new poker site before depositing. Stuff like that. I didn't learn anything from reading it and I read it when I didn't know that much about online poker.

Randy Reed 0
This book is more for someone who has never ventured into playing online, it was really a waste and I liked his other books. Even the notetaking stuff is pretty mute with the advent of pokertracker and such.
