moneytoburn 0
So last night im at the local indian casino and as usual I have to wait to get in to the big game. (5-10 full kill, lol). So after about an hour of waiting a seat opens up and I go the cashier to get my chips. I buy in for 2 stacks of red and as I am approaching the table I see that the dealer has already begun pitching the cards. I get to my seat just as the card approaches for the player to my left. I take his card and precede to get dealt in the hand. As I am stacking my chips I look down at my cards to find nothing other than A A. And as I added bonus I notice that it is a kill pot making the game 10-20. So I feeling great hoping to get some action on my AA during the kill. So a player UTG limps, and I 2 bet it from early position. A strong player in mid position 3 bets and the UTG cold calls 2. I make it 40 and before I could even get my chips out there player in mid position caps it at 5 bets. UTG calls 2 cold again!. And we see I flop 3 handed with about 150 in the middle.Flop comes 7 6 2 rainbow.UTG checks. I bet, Mid position 2 bets. UTG cold calls 2 more! . I 3 bet, Mid position 4 bets. UTG calls and is all in. And I cap it at 5 bets.... So now there is close to 300 in the pot. And I am thinking he has got to have aces for a chop, I can't really see that board helping him in any way. I am not sure what UTG has but by the way he looked you could tell was not confident at all in his hand.... So we see a turn heads up, and I bet 20 int he dark. Turn A, making Board 7 6 2 A I had bet in the dark, and the player in mid position 2 bets it!!!! I have the stone cold nuts and im getting played back at!! So I ofcourse I 3 bet it and he starts to look sour and just calls.River J, making board of 7 6 2 A J.I still have the stone cold nuts and I lead out again. He just calls. Making the final pot of around 47 BB for 5/10. I turn over my AA saying "I have the stone cold nuts" Player in mid position shows and mucks his KK. While player UTG shows and mucks his QQ. This is one of the biggest pots I have won at limit poker and has got to be the easiest hand I have played in a while. I mean it is a dream to get dealt AA vs KK vs QQ in a kill pot. Then turning the the pure nuts and getting played back at!!!!. Not only that but on the first hand. Just thought I would share, does anybody else have some stories like this? JayPaav 0
wonderful splash is right. especially when you are paying for time. in fact waiting for the $5 blind is a huge waste of time since it costs $10 an hour to sit.

DaBruins 0
Congrats. Although if i were playing in the hand i'd be much more worried that he flopped a set rather than him having AA for a chop. By the way, there is no way to have the STONE COLD NUTS on a board of 7 6 2 A. Congrats.

Binbs 0
First time I ever sat at a 15/30 NL table. shorthanded. I sit down with 3000.I got 88 UTG. Raised it up 4 times bb. 2 people called.Flop comes 78A. I bet out half the pot and get raised by the button.I call and a K comes on the turn. I put him on AK by the turn as he overbets the pot.River was a rag and he puts me all in.I call and he shows 77.6.2 k pot

While it is the best hand at the time, 4-5, 8-5, and 9-8 are hands that could beat trip aces. At the turn, the aces are the current nuts, but someone can still make a better hand. And if someone had trip 7's, 6's or 2's, they would have one out to make quads.

The latter refers to best current hand possible, the former refers to the best possible hand that can be made even after the river is dealt. Thus a set of aces will not give you the Stone Cold Nuts on a board of 7 6 2 A. *Smashs head on wall*
