this guy's complaining about the MIDWEST. St. Louis is the censored MIDWEST.

I'd like to politely disagree with that statement. If it weren't for Chicago, the midwest the most boring region in the USA. Chicago puts the midwest on the map, so to speak. It is the hub of our country.IMO, STL is a censored-stop en-route to Chicago.P.s. Da Bearsp.s.s Next year for interleague they should schedule the Cards vs the White sox, since i highly doubt the Sox will meet them in the World Series anymore...

First of all, DA BEARS.Second, the White Sox and Cards do play next year.Third, the White Sox will still make the World Series.Fourth, Jose Contreras has the sickest forkball ever.

Roffle!!!I think if the White Sox can get back to their identity - running, putting pressure on the defense, and pitching - they CAN make the playoffs.It needs to happen now. They have to take care of the rest of this series and Detriot so we can go into Cleveland on a high note. I think Tampa might keep up with the Tribe and possibly steal a game or 2 from them. As for now, we'll have to wait and see :!:

Pretty sure no free booze there either. Most casinos besides Vegas do not serve free drinks. Actually that is the only time that I have actually ever gotten free drinks in a casino. I have played in casinos all over the Midwest and never once gotten a free alcoholic drink.

If your looking for free booze, trump isnt the place.  They'll give u anything other than booze for free.

Ok well I go away for a few hours and this thread goes nuts.  I like the idea of Trump for the discount room rate, I mean we could share rooms , if that wasnt too weird for ne one, because I mean I like to gamble so if I wasnt playing cards Id proly be sitting at the BJ table(take that whichever way you want.)  Maybe a weekend in the middle of October or near the end or maybe early November, wide range I know but I think I have a lot of weddings to go to in Octoboer, free booze is awesome.  So throw out some dates and well decide Democratically, Ill start a Poll for it.  JEFFP.S. I will be in the Chicago area at the beginning of October and was planning a trip to either Trump or Resorts. I checked out the Trump website and looked for any information on the $44/night poker rate and did not see anything - is this rate available when making reservations or is it something you have to talk to the poker room manager about while playing?

Count me in. Grand Rapids is only 2 hours from Chicago. Don't forget about Caeser's down in Louisville. Had a great night at the poker room last time I was there, only to total my car on the way home. Regardless, still a great room.

That's an pretty assinine statement. I guess it's safe to assume that you consider Springfield, Champaign, and Effingham as being in southern Illinois as well? How about you visit St. Louis for a few days before you pass judgement. You can do almost anything in St. Louis that you can do in Chicago. Don't get me wrong I love Chicago...my brother lives in Wheaton and I make the 5 hour drive from West Frankfort up to Chicago at least once a month to have fun up there, but to say that St. Louis is a pit stop is very condescending. There is more to the midwest other than Chicago just like there is more to Illinois than what exists north of I-80.

It would probably be better if someone setup a home game or something. If we were to go to the Trump, everyone would more than likely be split up and I don't think that's what you guys are really looking foward too. I imagine that you guys would really like the chance to get to to know each other and and play against each other. So a home game mught be better suited to what people are looking for. Then you can play a tournament and/or cash game. Just my 2 cents (which is basically what I have left after busting this weekend.)
