my buddy runs a pretty good home game in the lincoln park area. he has a 1/1 NL on Monday nights, and a 1/2 NL usually on weekend, plus a 50+10 NLHE tournament every other week on saturdays. he has 2 tables, provides drinks, food, etc. We have a lot of fun but we are also extremely competitive. I would vote Resorts, but I guess Trump is ok. Pick a weekend and I'm down. And I just moved out of my place and am looking for a new one, so I couldn't house anybody right now. You can get a room at Trump for like $45, so we could put in a loooong session.

I know you'd vote that, lol. But lower limits at Trump for some of the lower rollers. Where are you living now? or are you going to move out soon?

I'm splitting time between my girlfriends place and my Mom's house in Munster. Living with your girlfriend can be a b.itch sometimes. But I should have a new place by next month, I'm just waiting to hear from one of my friends to see if he wants to move in with me.BTW, last weekend my car broke down on LSD. Right on Lake Shore and Chicago, it f.ucking blew. I thought someone was going to get out of their car and kill me, I was getting serious road rage from people.And also last weekend, donkeys were throwing away money at the 10/20 game at Resorts. You should just play out of your bankroll that game is so soft.

Isn't there a new casino in chicago called resorts or something? does anyone know if they offer NLHE there?I know at the pot in milwaukee they have no limit on sundays, and it's 2 tables now. Used to be 1 freakin table!

Anyways, it's a lot of fun and if you live in chicago, it's real easy to get to and a lot of fun. Resorts is the old Harrahs... and yeah they do, but it's 500max with 5/10 blinds.

The resorts is what Harrahs used to be. Harrahs bought The Horseshoe and cant have 2 casinos that close so they changed it to the Resorts. They have a 500 max buy in nl game. Pretty sure minimum is 200, dont know I always play at Trump.

Trumps NL game is pretty good. On the weekends all the real players move up to the 5-10 NL game with 400 min 1000 max and the 200 max NL is just swamped with fish. Its all the newbies who maybe won a tourney or something like that in their home game and think they can play. During the week there is some fish but mostly the same people. I played there all summer and made a good amount of cash. There are some good players who stay in that game. And if your looking for a big stakes game they have a 1500 min. game on friday and sometimes saturday nights. They were strictly holdem in the beginning but towards the end of the summer they started playing half hour holdem half hour pot limit omaha. You got any questions about Trump hit me up.

So yeah us FCPer's in the midwest are getting the fat shaft on all of these get togethers, so I am putting one together.  I know Suited would be in and I would, and JayWeb if he was still in the midwest, but lets get together in Milwaukee or Chicago.  Most likely Potowatomi or Horseshoe in Gary outside of Chicago, or anywhere for that matter, point is, LETS DO IT!!!  Ok I am a little too enthusiastic, but still it would be cool to hang and play and party.  If anyone wants to try PM me.Jeff

I'm a Chicagoan, and I'd be down w/ an event whenever. I've played mostly at the Trump, and while it's kind of a dump it's got juicy games. The Resorts (a few miles down the road from the Trump) might also be an option. It's much nicer than the Trump, and they are both big enough to handle a group. Potowatomi's card room in Milwaukee is kind of on the small side. Just let me know where and when though, and I'll be there.

Yea they have a 2-5 game going all day and all night. The only time there isnt at least 2 tables going is from about 3 in the morning til about 10 in the morning.
