TeeSludge 0
Raising with the nuts ina loose low limit game:This is a play that I make a lot at the loose lower limit tables because it gets you paid off very well. At most of these tables players will call down bets and raises with overcards, underpairs and all kinds of other hands so when you make a huge hand its nice to get paid off real well on it. Most of the lower limit chasers would not think there was any way that you would be raising with the nuts and therefore their 8 outs are clean.
justblaze 0
i dont understand. You are saying raising with the nuts is good? really? are you sure? JistTheFist, does this jive with solid poker strategy? This doesnt seem logical to me...
Wilderness 0
Yes, the best way to make money at low limits is to keep raising and betting with the nuts, because you will get callers.Of course, another great way to make good money at low limits is to play against people who will call a raise/re-raise with KQo after they limped in UTG with it. I was playing in a 6 handed game. The re-raiser had been re-raising with all kinds of hands.. anything from 22 to J4o. The table was extremely loose and there was a good chance that I had either the best hand or second best hand pre-flop.

I did realize it was 6 handed so you have to open up, just mis-read which one you were. Not a bad play then if you had a good idea how your opponents were playing.
MrConceit 0
His point is utterly valid, all joking aside. The typical Partypoker person will never play flopped trips fast, ever. And they don't believe you ever would either. And if your table is LAGy it works even better. I had a hand yesterday in 15/30 in BB where I flopped trips with 86o. I saw the flop for free. The flop was 636. I bet, got raised (now quite often the play here is to flat call at that point, sometimes referred to as a stop'n'go), I 3bet he called. Turn was a 3, which is perfect. I mean sure he could have the case 6 but I didn't think so, and now even if he does I'm not outkicked. And the most LIKELY thing he had was a 3, since somebody with a 6 on that flop typically will slowplay and flat call me waiting until turn to raise. So I bet out again, he of course raises, I 3bet, and I think he might even have capped, haha.River was inconsequential, I bet and this time he decided to flat call. He showed down a fine K3s. And I took down a solid pot. The main lesson is people try to slowplay far far too often. EVEN disregarding the huge amount of time it isn't warranted because people have too good a chance of drawing out, even when you have a near lock, you often can get more action just playing it fast. The average fool doesn't expect it, especially on paired boards. They wouldn't ever play that "foolish" way, they don't think you will.
