RayPowers 0 Posted September 15, 2005 Share Posted September 15, 2005 Wow.So I came home from Poker last night and the World Poker Tour with Tony G and Surrinder at the final table came on. I have to say Dan Druff has got nothing on Tony G. This was the biggest asshole I have ever seen at a poker table. I can only wish that someone kicked his ass ont he wya home after the event was done. Did he really get no penalties? They showed none, but they did show an interview with Marcel saying he at least needs a warning...Ray Link to post Share on other sites

PokerFan 0 Posted September 15, 2005 Share Posted September 15, 2005 Every time they show that episode with Tony G. this site has a thread about it...I'm not sure why the tounry director lets him get away with it except to say it must be for TV...I play at a local casino and one day a jerk sits down and only pulled a fraction of what Tony G did and 30 minutes later the jerk was escorted out... gmanshade 0 Posted September 15, 2005 Share Posted September 15, 2005 I think they allow the behavior b/c of T.V. but also because there is so much money at stake that there would be a serious lawsuit if, say, they threw him out of the tournament. All they can do is make rules (i.e. you cannot curse at the table) but it is hard to make and enforce a rule that essentially means "you cannot be an unbelieavably obnoxious *******." Having said that, while there are Tony G moments that make me cringe, I'd way rather watch him than a boring, milk toast player (i.e. erik seidel or barry greenstein). I have had the privilege to play with him, and spend time with him at a couple major events and he is a class act. Do not ever think that the way a person acts at the table defines him as a person.
