You can and should be able to show your hand to anyone not in the hand. There is no collusion involved unless your friend gives you advice. Secondly why would anyone discourage this? It is usually a huge tell when someone shows there hand to another. I OPENLY ENCOURAGE IT. Thirdly, Im getting sick and tired of these ridiculous rules that serve no purpose. When it is obvious that there is no collusion going on, then the rules should not be perverted to serve the interest of some paranoid geryatric(sp) who has watched the show tilt and assumes th eworst of every player. I've had other players ask to see my hands the last 3 live sessions and actually had 1 hand pulledof the muck. This is obnoxious and slows the game down.
