digitalmonkey 929
I play $1.00 Sit and Gos (yeah, yeah, I'm new okay) on Ultimate Bet and find that I consistently finish 1st or 2nd at 6 handed tables yet I bust out early in 10 handed tables. Is there a simple explanation for this (lack of patience) or could it be a number of things? Spidurman 0
well the game plays differently shorthanded than full table - you're probably too aggressive in the full table game - tighten your starting hand requirements and you oughta last longer.
Shred 0
There have been some great articles on strategy on SnGs in Cardplayer magazine. The basic premise - and this is basic - is to play extremely tight during the first few levels only playing premium hands, AA, KK, AKs, QQ, etc, and let the live ones knock each other out. I don't think you are giving much up by allowing other players to knock each other out and not building your stack especially at low buy-in NL SnGs. Then when the table gets to 6 or 7 players you turn up the agression and continue from there. Again this is very basic stuff. I'd check out cardplayer.com and search for sit and go's in the articles.
