moneytoburn 0
I am a solid player that has beat the game at my local casino for over 10k in the last 3 months. Recently however I have gotten in to playing sit & go's online and have struggled greatly. I thought I would start out at $10 sit & go's just to get a feal for them, then move up to the $50's and $100. Over last leek week I have played 40 sit & go's and here are my numbers.1st- 22nd- 53rd- 6xxx- 27 Obviously I am missing some element to the game. I am playing at Party where the blinds move extreamly fast and its bassically push or fold the whole way. I think I have played the game well but find myself constantly cashing out of the money. Any comments or help in beating the sit & go's at party?

MDXS 0
Perhaps you should try a site that has a structure with more play in it. I'm a fan of the SNGs at Poker Stars and I've heard that UB's are even better.

I' just made a big deposit there and am starting at the $50 SNG. I'm easy to locate screen name wise.edit:: Party poker has horrible strucure. if you made 10k live you should be able to easily play $100 SNG as thats well within your bankroll. Just find better structure.- Jordan

moneytoburn 0
Thanks for all the feed back guys. I think I wil continue to play the $10 sit & go's at party, at least untill I get to 100 or so I have bigger sample to look at. It is not really about the money right now, just more of a hit on my confindence that I can't beat a game with so many weak players. Hopefully things will turn around.Once again thanks for all the input. I am still new to this forum but hopefully I will be able to return the favor in the future .
Chiggleslap 0
The $10 SNGs on Party are easy to beat.Play really tight until there's three people left, then loosen up your starting requirements. It works like a charm.Boring, but it works.
allinbluff35 0
don't steal blinds until at least level 4.
brian67 0
Those are pretty bad numbers man. You should try other structures, possibly shorthanded or turbos depending on your style. If you play enough of anything though you should figure out a way to beat them. But geeze i wouldn't play them unless you win more like 1 in 4.
brian67 0
...and moreso i think the higher sng's on party are easier to beat, not counting the $20. People are just way to loose and crazy in those for some reason. The $50 and up have more conservative players which i personally like.

Pancake407 0
Chiggleslap is right about playing tight on the $10 SnG's -the only difference to it that I do, is play tight until there are about 4 or 5 players remaining, when this happens, the remaining players start playing extremely cautious, hoping to cash in the money - you will notice it when the players start folding to the button or even the blinds regularly - when this happens - loosen your starting requirements, and if you are short stacked start pushing all-in with coin flip hands - usually you will get the blinds. If not, then you race to double up. This strategy works well for me, I usually get 4th or 1st, I usually cash in the money 1 out of 3, mostly 1st. Another little tip that works well on the weak players, is heads up, raise from the button EVERY time, and lead right out into the flop, if you catch resistance, back down. When they start noticing your raising from the button everytime they eventually move all in preflop almost every time as well. Which works out very well when you really have AK, AA, KK, QQ, etc. If heads up short-stacked - push all in with A-x, K-x, any PP - they will usually give up the blind, but if not and your hand holds your set up to win. This strategy works well for the $10 SnG, not so much for the $20, the $20 SnG - are insane, im not sure why.
BeanGW 0
don't steal blinds until at least level 4.This is a very important point.
blinky 0
well 60% or so of people playing $10 SNGs have to be losers in the long run ... right?
mjd 0
The Party S-n-Gs below $50 are a crappy structure. Try out another site. I like Paradise Poker. Others like UB. Party's 800 chip S-n-Gs are beatable, but often a crapshoot. You'll find more room for early tournament skill in other structures.-M
lboarts 0
It's already been said, but Party's SnG structure sucks, and I mean really sucks! Find a new site with better structures. I suggest Absolute Poker or UB.That said, your numbers still suggest major leaks in your game. Play TAG until you're down to 4 or 5 people, then loosen up a bit.

PoppinFresh 0
Those are pretty bad numbers man. Â You should try other structures, possibly shorthanded or turbos depending on your style. Â If you play enough of anything though you should figure out a way to beat them. Â But geeze i wouldn't play them unless you win more like 1 in 4.Nobody wins 1 in 4 sitngos. To the OP: Your numbers aren't all that bad, you're placing ITM in 32.5% of the sitngos you play, you just need a bit more consistancy and first place finishes. The sample size here is pretty small, I don't think that much of a conclusion can be drawn from it. The best advice I can give you at these levels is to play as solid a game as possible. Don't mix it up and don't bluff until late in the sitngos, there's no need to.
