Im doing well. February was my best month ever in both tournaments and cash games. Hopefully March is even more profitable.

Ive been on a break, redpositing my roll that i took off ft to party tomorrow to hopefully grin the 1/2 back to $1k at which point ill start playing tourneys again.nice to see you back.

I'm doing very well at the 10/20 stud 8/b game on stars...when I got pokertracker stud, which was after a lot of hands had gone by, since then, 3500 hands at about 4 bb/100.I'm basically keeping 6k as my bankroll, and...I have a choice to do with the extra. I'm withdrawing some every so often, to pad the ole bank account, but...should I take a shot at 30/60 with an extra 1200? Extra 600? Not bother? Should I actually have 500 bb, and keep 10k lying around?Should I transfer a chunk to party and just move up to the slightly bigger games there, like 15/30?Oh, and players at Razz are fishy, all the way up to 15/30. Except for John Juanda, he really knows what he's doing there.Sorry, nothing about holdem, can't stand lhe online. ; )I would stick with the 10-20 stud8 for a bit. i am doing terrible. i really havent ran this bad in a while. it seems i can do nothing right. really the only mtt money i have made that is decent was the pieces i had of hoosier. so yeah i am taking a break. funny part was last weekend i said i was going to play live so i could have a change of pace and lost to a one outer 4 times in five hours. so i get back tuesday and play some online and i still could do nothing right. cant even win when i am 4-1.but oh well enough of the sob story. lol and yes allinbluff if i call allin with ak i know it will turn around.so the moral of this story is i am going to take about 2 weeks off and get some reading done and look at hand histories and such. maybe pick up a knew hobby like cup stacking. i saw that commercial and i am sold.

I haven't played much in a while. Between a new job and moving I've barely gotten in any poker in the past two weeks and I have played much more in about a month and a half. I did make the final two tables of the Party 40k about 2 weeks ago, which put my bankroll up to enough to start playing 2/4 6 once I get back into cash games on Party. Which I hope will be within a week. Glad to see so many people are doing well right now.

Thats probably the best advice I could give you. Dont even think about the game if you can, just watch movies go out and stuff you'll come back fresher than ever.Another priceless piece of advice I can give you for when you get deep in mtts is to download llcoolj's "Mama said knock you out" and play it full blast in your room during a break. With the amount of success some of you been having, it makes me want to start playing more tournaments. However, I'm really lazy when it comes to tournaments and it requires so much of my concentration for several hours and it feels like a waste of time unless I win it. I will however eventually play some of these bigger online tournaments, just gotta get inspired to play them I guess.Anyways, I've been running ok lately and playing a bit higher lately, so things seem to be on the up and up for now. Just been more patient lately and padding up my bankroll slowly but surely through cash games.

good: on a hell of a rush at 20/40 live (up nearly 200BB in under 3k hands), which i've been playing a lot of lately, because of the...bad: on a 12k downswing at 25/50 and 10/20 s/h online, which has knocked my bankroll down to the point where i can't play 25/50 full ring anymore, which is a great game on pokerroom/fcp. this sucks, and as far as i can tell, it's mostly because my reads have been sorely messed up by playing so much live poker lately, where the play is ****ing terrible. while calling someone down who goes 3 bets on the turn on a draw-heavy board is a good move live, it's not really the best move against tighter players online, but i'm having trouble switching gears back and forth. ick. but the first step to solving a problem is realizing the problem's there, right? right? bueller?

Playing online and live are obviously two very different animals. In short, when playing live, you are playing the player. Online, it's a math game. Very simplistic I know, but..........that's my quick take. I would actually stick with b&m for a bit, see what happens.

I'm on fire since the beginning of February... up over $3,000 multi-tabling .5/1 NL cash games, $20-$30 sitngo's and MTT's ... just started bonuswhoring too and I'm starting to realize that the Full Tilt cash games that I'm used to are actually a LOT tougher than some of the smaller sites. Bonuswhoring is like discovering little gold mines tucked away in different corners of the web.. I'm lovin it...yea yea I know... TP/MM

Finally broke out of my tourney funk, took 3rd in the Super Thursday on Party a week and a half ago for about 20k.Steve, Custom and I are opening a new strategy/blog hosting/articles site, I'm wondering if you would be interested in writing articles for us. Doesn't have to be that long, or anything specific, I just know you have a wealth of knowledge, and I think you would bring a lot to our site by writing articles.

id like to say im doing great since im up over 1000$ for february..but im doing horrible.actually, 2006 is shaping up to be brutal. i cant win, i dont know why. im playing great, making great reads, and just gettign sucked out on horrifically, non stop. ill flop top set then lose to a runnerunner 7 hgih flush, **** lik that. its really demoralizing. im -200 in cash games (at 1/2 limit) this month, which is really hurting the br. i cashed for about 1900$ in MTT"s in one week, which was graet, and helped a lot.. i cashed out 1k and left about 400 on, which ive blown through playing $20 mtts and not cashing.. i consistently cash ni the 5, 3 and 2$ ones but you know how that amounts to pennies. i guess its really discourging because i know mi playing the best poker ive ever played, and i cant win, no matter what i do.maybe i should start to play like a donk..

It seems like variance it kicking in. Try not to get discouraged, if you are the best player, your results will come around.

10-20= 6k30-60= 18kIf you play for a living, I would raise it to 500x's. Now stud hi lo has much less variance than holdem. So 300 BB's is much more doable because it's a split game. At the same time, 30-60 will have better players.........I would assume. Let me know how it goes.

the problem is that i am currently in grad school, and only have about one night a month to devote to B&M play, as the nearest casino is about 30 min away and i don't often have time to devote more than 1-2 hrs to poker at a time. i make it up there for a 10-20 hr session about once a month, but that's it.i would like to stick to B&M, but it's just not an option. i'm turning things around as we speak, though, fortunately. a 3k score in a late night tournament and moving back to pokerroom shorthanded tables fixed me right up. i'm nearly back to where i used to be after a little rush.thanks for the advice, though. i really like that you keep this thread updated every now and again.

After beating party 1/2 full ring for a nice .2 bb/100 (14K hands), I swallowed my pride and dropped back to .5/1 to reasses my skills and weaknesses. I posted a lot of hands and with the help of the strat forum I slowly noticed leaks in my game. I currently have the roll to play 2/4 six max (2000). Although I feel very comfortable at 1/2 6 max right now, and I only have 6K hands at that level. How have your past couple of weeks been? I know with the onset of better weather, I plan on laying off the poker and doing some outdoor activities (GOLF!).

I'm playing in the WSOP Qualifier on party right now.. The top 50 of this one move on to the final one, which I think the top 20 get a WSOP seat.3,500 entrants, and about 175 left.. My stack is about 115k, and the average is at 61k, so lets hope I can hold it out for 125 more people.Update: 133 people left and I now got about 210k.
