Amadeus 0
1/2 NLHE with a max. buy-in of $100. This is a live game 9 handed. I've played with LP a lot. He loves to play draws and plays super fast with them. He is capable of a slow play and will sometimes limp with big pairs. When he wins he wins big but when he loses he also loses big. First time playing with MP but he seems a little new to the game. Hero in the BB $260MP $160LP $200Hero has [6d 6c]5 foldsMP calls $2LP calls $2SB foldsBB checksFLOP [8s 6h 8d]BB checksMP checksLP checksTURN [9c]BB checksMP bets $10LP calls $10BB calls $10RIVER [5h]BB checksMP checksLP bets $20BB raises to $40MP thinks for about 3 minutes then foldsLP raises to $80At this point in the hand I'm kicking myself in the ass for playing so slow because now I have two problems. I might have let LP catch a card to beat me and since I've been playing so passively, I'm having a hard time deciding if LP would think a 10 high straight was good in this situation. Is this a spot to just call or do you go ahead and push?
TheIceman05 0
(shrug) If you're gonna play the hand this slow....I'm probably popping off on the turn. Call the river raise. You're probably against k8 or a8. Might be eights full or 9's full. 89 seems like the most likely boat hand.Ice
allinbluff35 0
1/2 NL live, call, it's probably guys that think their straight is good here.
Amadeus 0
So far everyone says to just call. Is nobody pushing with the information you have on LP?

Is nobody pushing with the information you have on LP?Even with the read I think there are better spots to get your money in. There are enough hands that beat you that make this a call. ChrisOfSpades 0
i dont understand the min. raise on the riverwhy make such a small move? if you're gonna check-raise at this point, check-raise hard. the guy already made two bets at this point, and he'd likely call w/ a set or straight. but since you gave him a chance to re-raise, you can only call now. Amadeus 0
The min-raise was because I wanted both guys to call with worse hands (which MP nearly did).
