The first guy to act goes all-in. Everyone folds to you the BB. You have pocket aces. Do you call his all-in, or fold and wait for better odds later? Doyle Brunson: (4:07 PM ET ) The day I fold pocket aces before the flop is the day I stop playing. That settles that debate I think!Chris (High Springs, Fl): Do you think your group of players will ever play Andy Beal again? Doyle Brunson: (4:13 PM ET ) Yes. We've talked about it and it is inevitable that it will happen. I cant wait!Anyways, everyone can check out the rest on their own.

ahrustad 0
I read that article by Bucher too. I thought it was a joke. What was he thinking? BTW, people are asking Doyle about Negreanu's challenge matches, and Doyle said that Negreanu must have something to prove, but Doyle doesn't have to prove anything so he won't play him. Doyle Brunson: (4:32 PM ET ) No, I dont think I have anything to prove and he thinks he does or else he wouldn't be doing this. OUCH....fair but ouch. I think he may have a point on DN here. But then again what is wrong with wanting to prove something??

dank773 0
This question may have been answered a hundred times, so I thought I would ask it here rather than starting a new topic. I know all about the book about Beal playing the big game, and I read the articles in Card Player about the proposed 40 million, heads up freeze-outs with Beal against the corporation, but I don't know if that game ever took place? This thread reminded me of it, but I haven't seen anything else in Card Player about it, and haven't heard much about it lately.

That series where Isiah turned his ankle....they had teh Celtics that year. So waht goes around comes around. But if you think the Heat dont have a great shot at unseating them this year with L. Brown gone you are nuts.)

RyanM 0
I'm not talking about the Rockets with Hakeem and Clyde. They of course won 2 chips.I'm talking about the Rockets with Hakeem, Clyde, Barkley, and Pippen. They did not win anything. The Heat is a good team, but they're not getting guys who want to step out of the spotlight. On top of that, from a Laker fan, just wait for Shaq to go off on DWade...it's GOING to happen, folks. History repeats itself. Penny, Kobe, and DWade is next. I like Shaq, but facts are facts - the dude can't stand being the 2nd best player on the team. I'm not saying the Heat don't have a shot to win this year...but if they got out of the East last year, healthy or not, they woulda been stomped by the Spurs. The Spurs, the Pistons, the Pacers, the Rockets, and the Suns are still threats to go far into the playoffs and perhaps win the title this year (although the Rockets and Suns are longshots, IMO).Oh, and injuries? Stop whining. The Lakers had Karl Malone hobbling against the Pistons, and damn near EVERY championship matchup has 1 or 2 injured star players. It happens after months of competition. RyanM 0
2 other things.1. Don't count your chickens before they're hatched. Talking about trying to win 70 games...LOL...try seeing how this team LOOKS together first.2. The Heat also got ridiculous breaks last year with the suspensions to ONeal, Artest, and BEN WALLACE. Let's not forget that.

Let's not forget that.Wallace was out for what 5 games? 7? The heat ran away with home court advantage. That had no effect whatsoever except maybe giving ben wallace more rest.i agree 70 games is a little much...but Alf is my boy so I back him.Injuries are a part of the game....I am not whining and if you look I made it a point to state how DUE this Pistons were for some luck. That being said having your TWO BEST PLAYERS hobbled is not "part of teh game" or "something that always happens." This was very very unusual and a huge huge gift for the Pistons.
RyanM 0
Homie I'm not the one bitching about my team being injured. I know it's a reality. And uh...Kobe might be more selfish than Wade, but was Penny more selfish than Wade? No. And that team STILL self-destructed. Where's the common denominator? Oh - right...Shaq.Plus, Shaq is older and he just got his contract money.Have fun with the guy who won't work out until its "on company time".

If the Heat gets into the Finals, there is no way they beat the Spurs. None.

Because you hate the heat and it makes you feel good to say that?Personally....I think the Spurs would have beaten the Heat in 6 games....But to say "NO WAY."That just shows your bias.
