I turned $50 to $1284 and some change this past summer during my off time, but I really ramped up the playing since the last week in July and made about $650 since then.But I'm just tired. Maybe you'll see me sometime down the line, but for now, senior year of college starts in a week so I'd better focus on finishing college strong.Have a great time, guys. Focus on your senior year, not school so much. If you have a good GPA you are fine unless you are chasing an honor. Interview, interview, interview to give yourself the best possible job out of college set-up before you even graduate, it helps alot. Also, think of your career path/paths as a ladder. The higher up the rung you get straight out of school, the easier it is to move up the ladder later. This is why your first job is so important. My senior year I had a blast with my fraternity brothers. We did enough stupod stuff, road trips, and women to fill a novel with. The all-nighters, drinking till 6am, and abundance of women thins out once you graduate. Take full advantage while you can!I am taking time off from poker as well. I am two years out of college and have an awesome opportunity with my company and want to divert all of my concentration on that. My girlfriend is kinda getting pissed a little bit too about the 4am nights at the B&M. I have set a goal of 6 months. The resaons are poker related as well. I get bored with the competition now and make horrible plays and lose it all. For instance, last week sat down at $1/$3 NL at my local B&M with $100. In two hours had my stack up to $389. Not bad right? Well I cant get any action anymore and I get impatient. It is raised to $15 pf and one caller in front of me. I make it $45 to go. Both call. Oh yeah, Im playing K3o in late position, great starting hand for a raised pot(sw). Flop comes down 10 8 3 rainbow. Original raiser makes it $40 and the other guy smooth calls. I think for a minute and push. Now I know that one of them has AA, but Im thinking maybe i can push them off their hand. The original raiser thinks and debates it forever, then calls. Limper thinks forever and calls. Im dominated, original has a set of 8's and was worried about 10's. Limper had the AA and couldnt get away from it. Now what was wrong with my play? EVERYTHING! The game was soooooo soft and there would be many more chances where I could get it in with the best of it and not bust. My control is not what it used to be and I need to regain it before I play again. Poker has just become a huge part of my life and bigger than I want it to be. Guinevar, good luck on your last year and live it up! I will still lurk around here and I am going to read alot of poker while Im off, so you might see me in strategy.
