why are you a dn fan?

cause he's so goddamned sexy, that's why
2nd. No Sarcasm on my part. I saw him on TV and he was cracking jokes and laughing his cute laugh while playing. He made me enjoy poker on TV, before that I just watched because my husband had it on the TV.
It was the same for me.
If ever there was a time for a gay hijaack of this thread....Ray

First saw DN on PokerStars playing the high limit games back in 2002, couldn't help notice the heavy volume of chat this guy got. through it all, he usually killed the game while answering all his convo's - politely I might add. Then one night while railing, a convo came up and he gave himself the billing of being the 5th best player in poker right now. I was like 'what the fuck?' no arguements broke out so I assumed this unknown (to me) could walk the walk and talk the talk, as WPT/TV poker hit the mainstream I learned he could back it all up.What impressed me the most was how he answered everyone as long as he could and not blurt out a STFU !! The TV DN sold me on wanting to root for this guy everytime he sat at a table. His self-promotion and talent along with great people skills = ++EV in my book.Just one favor, throw us a quiz or two soon. please.

He probably caters to and appreciates his fans the most of any well known person in the world. This is true, he's the most gracious person I've ever seen who's a public figure.
Agreed. That is why im here, plus i really respect his game.

In light of all the negative threads that I've seen here lately I thought I would bump this thread up to remind everyone why we are here.
Fucking goody two shoes. You really need a spanking.
Atleast you haven't gay highjacked the thread yet.
Excuse me? Look up further on the thread, sister.
He has a huge cock.  I like that in a man.
How dare you overlook that beautiful piece of homosocial behavior?

1999 USPC No-Limit Championship...played awesome. I knew he would be the next great player.
I guess you are still waiting for Negreanu to be "the next great player" then, because it sure ain't happenin anytime this decade....

Dude, I think you're right about DN in some ways, but it's getting kind of annoying that you bash him on EVERY thread you possibly can. Stick to your other posts, they're much better. Just my opinion.

I read FCP before the forums and I greatly enjoyed DN's perspective on poker. He is honest about his own flaws, which is refreshing in a poker player. Some of his articles gave me a new way of thinking about the game along with some new approaches to playing hands. Plus DN seems like a genuinely cool person.

A) I only bash him on threads that relate to DN himself...B) In what way is saying that he is not "the next great player" bashing him???? I did not say he sucks. I don't think he sucks. I think he is very good. I just think that he is not playing much poker right now at all, and therefore isn't really a "good" poker pro right now. Doesn't mean he never will be again, I am sure he will return to form once he starts focusing, but who knows when that will be. Thus, he is not "the next great player." That title belongs ONLY to Phil Ivey. Noone can deny this. Noone.

I deny that. Phil Ivey already is a great player. He isn't "the next" anything. The man plays and wins at the highest cash games in the world as well as tournaments. What else would you consider as a great player? If anything, we should be looking for the next Phil Ivey, because there will NEVER be another Doyle or Amarillo Slim...times are too different. As for you putting your opinion in on threads about Daniel, I see what you're saying. I just feel like I've seen you writing about it a gazillion times in the last few weeks...but that's just because all these threads keep coming up. But couldn't you let a few go bye without getting an another argument?

I somewhat agree with you about Ivey. Yes, I know that he is one of the, if not the, best players right now. However, if he never played another hand, I don't think he would go down as "one of the greatest players of all time." Probably needs a few more WSOP bracelets and other major titles, as well as continued success in the cash games, to be among the all-time greats. However, it seems almost inevitable that he will get there, so I wouldn't have that big of a problem with someone putting him in that category right now. And about me supposedly "bashing" Negreanu...I can't see anything wrong with speaking the truth whenever the topic is brought up. I personally find it more annoying when some on this forum say mindless stuff like "DN is the best player going..." just because they like what they see of him on TV..."

when I use to post in the old LAP forums. Daniel negreanu had his own forum called "ask daniel negreanu...". i'm pretty sure no one of you are old school enough to remember way back then.only AVSfan ::spelling??::: and i are the only ones that i know of.teneight
It was AvsFan but I thought I could fly when I registered here so it came out avsfan this time. Or was it AVSfan...oh man. My mind its rotting away! Teneight, how did I use to spell it? arghhhhh, your proabbly right. Dude I can't even spell my own name right. I miss spelled a miss spelling. Now thats dumb  I respect DN for his character. His contributions to indviduals and communities. He also plays a mean game of poker. POY awards and records like DNs don't fall of trees. So I ask the haters; Why aren't you a DN fan?

His boyish physique...lolAfter that favor he did for me in the bathroom of the Sunoco i am totally indebted(sp?) to him. But seriously, i am here because i have an obession with boyish, lanky great poker players that are Canadian who are vegans.
