Obviously left. You want to know what he's going to do before you enter a pot. Same logic means you want tighties to the right so you can play more marginal hands and steal their blinds.

conventional thinking says that you want a loose player on your right (so you are sitting to his left) and a tight player on your left. this will most likely have you in pots against weaker cards since you will be able to push the tighter player out of pots and isolate against the looser player among other benefits.
