Last week's episode was crazy.Jeff Lisandro took out Phil Ivey heads up, after Ivey had pretty much all the chips on the table. Plus, Lisandro started as chip leader, then was down to nothing at the start.I think Ivey must have been ready to go to sleep or something. Lisandro can play.

I'm sure i'm the only one that doesn't know this, but can someone explain why there is such a delay before they air the WSOP Main Event???Too bad there are so many obstacles that it cant be seen live. I read someones blog once saying how sweet it would be to watch it live... (Arieh? Paul Phillips? bah, cant remember)"thats Powerful weak"X :club:

I was flipping channels a few weeks ago and I think they were playing the 1986 WSOP, not sure which one it was exactly. No hole card cams made it very strange. And the small crowd was funny to see. Vince's dad Dick VanPatten was one of the commentators. Interesting stuff.

Or, they had already made a deal.Patrick
Yeah, Ivey mailing it in really seemed odd there. Probably made a deal where Ivey got more $ for 2nd than 1st.

There's probably such a delay cause they have about 10,000 hours of footage to sort through to see what they want to air. and they have to play it last like a season finale. You dont want to blow your wad at the beginning with the main even then air all the $1500 events.

One thing you didn't get from the ESPN Douches is that they played like 14 hours at the Final Table. Phil looked like he hadn't slept in days, maybe he wore himself out in side action. I don't think he threw it because for him a 1st place finish means more in endorsements than any amount Jeff could have offered him in a deal.

Out of curiosity, what endorsements would winning a Circuit event garner Ivey that he wouldn't get otherwise? I doubt him finishing second adversely affects his marketability at all.Patrick

Aanyone know if we will get this in Canada?
It's on ESPN.
Yeah but we don't have ESPN, at least not with bell express vu. So anyone know if its on another channel? thanks
You don't have ESPN? Where do you live? Canada?!?!?!?
Yeah I know it suck! We only have ESPN classic Canada witch probably suck also. We don't get anything in Quebec beside the strippers and the crappy roads.

The reason is it takes a very, very long time to edit all the tape to come up with the broadcasts. Plus, making sure Norman Chad has plenty of lame jokes in store for us. JK.Seriously, if they didnt take so long to edit the telecast would be VERY boring, probably to even most hardcore poker fans. Remember they are condensing each day into a one hour episode usually. Takes some time. Be patient they always do a good job. (although I too wish the turnaroudn was smaller!)

I think the exhaustion factor is plausible as well. Ivey did look blasted, but still, he's probably played sessions longer than 14 hours, and the last two televised hands were very curious.
