bdc30 0
I'm recounting this the best I can, but it's a 2-2 NL hand from pokerroom.3 pertinent players, call them V1, V2 and Hero.V1 has $300, V2 has $100, Hero (A,A) $600Preflop, V1 calls $2, V2 calls $2, Hero raises to $5, V1 calls, V2 calls.Flop 4 9 J V1 checks, V2 bets $12, Hero raises to $40, V1 raises to $100,V2 calls $83 and is all in, Hero ? ? ? ?Now in this hand, I wasn't hero, I'm actually V1 but I won't skewer the analysis by posting what I had. I was somewhatpuzzled by the lame preflop raise by this guy, which is whyI was still in the action by the flop. What's his move on the flop bet, and what are your thoughtson what the other two hands are? bdc30 0
Hero foldsWell, I can tell you he didn't fold, that's how I knowwhat his hand was. Is this a laydown he should havebeen able to make, or with this ragged board is it an easy call?
Kendren 1
I don't think I could get away from it, even with 2 aggressors out there. I think I just lose my money.
DCSports92GSR 0
I bet more PF. Raising 2.5x BB with AA is just asking for trouble. After the fiasco on the flop, a check, a bet, a raise and a re-raise from the checker, its an easy fold. V2 might not have you covered hand strength wise but you'd have to win back what you are already giving to V1. IMO I'd fold the AA here with only $45 invested. Its a brilliant play from V2 with a hand like AJ, the smooth call of V1's bet, because it makes me think he has a monster. And even though I think I have V2 beat, I can't beat V1 and I don't want to chase the $ I already assume is going to V1.My $0.

V1 is the guy im worried about, not so much V2, and since V1 is the guy who still has chips, im definatley getting out.
bdc30 0
So here's what happened...The "hero" with the aces called my raise.I had 4 4 for a set on the flop.I went all in on the turn for another 190 or so, which the hero called. ..To me, the showdown was the interesting part, asthe turn and river were bricks, and I, too wasn't veryworried about V2 at the time.V1 shows 4,4 for three of a kind, 4'sV2 shows 9,9 for three of a kind, 9'sHero shows A,A for a pair of aces.So all in all, it was an ok result, as I got the money backthat I lost to V2 from the hero.Any thoughts on my play with the 4's either preflop, or on the flop with the big check raise, and the turn push?? DCSports92GSR 0
Any thoughts on my play with the 4's either preflop,or on the flop with the big check raise, and the turn push??If it was me, you wouldn't have won the money from me ( with the AA ) because of your play on the flop. Just one more reason to LEAD OUT with sets. Even if its not a HUGE ammount, lead out. That check re-raise screams of your strength and in a bigger game with better players, wouldn't have gotten you paid off. On the other hand, a lead re-raise isn't AS scary and will usually get you more against a better player.
bdc30 0
With the check raise, I was actually trying to isolate the hero.I totally didn't expect the V2 to still be in the pot, ashe didn't really show a whole lot of initiative up to this point and I thought I could make him fold for allof his money...oops...I at least was correct about wantingto isolate against the original raiser, I think.(what kind of garbage raise was that with AA??)Thoughts on the isolation attempt?
