shootout question

Recommended Posts

I'm not 100% on this one...but I doubt it...the game will prolly show up in the box as a 3-3 tie or whatever...with an * next to the team that won the shootout.I'm prolly wrong but I'm too tired and lazy to look it up right now.

The goals will not count in the players official totals, although such things WILL be kept track of.As for the game; any game won in a shootout will be shown as a one goal win. For instance if Montreal and Toronto end the overtime tied at 3 and Montreal wins the shootout, the final scre will be 4 - 3.

and for the record, don't expect more than 15 shootouts throughout the entire season.
You want to put a wager on that? Minnesota had 20 ties alone in the last played season. Admittedly, not being guaranteed at least a point will open things up even more, but you gotta think a lot of teams see themselves having a better chance in a shootout than in a 4 on 4 situation.
