Sushiman 0
I play a lot of 2/4 and 3/6 at Atlantic City, and I always see one type of player that I cannot get out of my head. Basically the flop will come something like 10 10 4, and one guy will cold call multiple raises until the river when he shows down something like 460. Then he flips his cards over and declares "two pair" like he couldn't wait to reveal the nuts. Of course, with 5 other people in the hand he almost never wins but proceeds to repeat himself over and over in the same situation. My question is do you guys actually consider that kind of two pair a decent hand in any way? Doesn't reverse implied odds say that you are extremely vulnerable if not drawing dead already in that kind of situation and should fold to almost any kind of action other than heads up?The last time I went not only was the board paired, but there was a straight and flush possibility and he stilled kept calling saying "I couldn't fold it I had two pair." That kind of mentality just boggles my mind.
A. Holmberg 0
Don't tap on the glass ;)Seriously though, some players either can't consider all the possibilities that are on the board or truly don't give a damn. Be thankful this guy thinks 2 pair is solid freaking gold and take his $$$
joeltebbutt 0
I've seen play similar to this a lot of times and i just cant understand their thinking because whatever comes on the turn or the river are going to be scarecards. On a sidenote I was playing in a stt yesterday first hand there is 4 limpers flop comes with two hearts. Turn brings 3rd heart and pairs the board it is checked around. River makes the board double paired and big blind moves in its folded around to the button who immediately calls and flips over a-x of hearts for nut flush. Of coure the player who moved in has the full.
PT0077 0
I don't even think of this type of hand as two pair to be honest with you. One of my friends says it all the time and it drives me nuts. I don't even know why it drives me nuts. I guess it's just because if you're still in the hand and you don't have trips, then you better have 2 pair. I guess I just think of 2 pair as using both your hole cards.

AceyDeucy 0
I can think of one circumstance. If the board is like 9-5-5 and I have the 9, I might take one off if the price is good (free) and see if I hit another 9.Otherwise, unless the table is pretty shorthanded, I am not interested in the off-undercard on a paired flop. zimmer4141 0
I never understood this type of thinking. With 2 pair on the board, my friends will call with a flush because "I can't fold a flush!"

At least someone is sucking on you all the time. You no longer have to waste your money on male prostitutes for this service. Nice anger. Sorry about your tiny c0ck.
rog 0
This type of 2-pair hand is not so bad. For one thing, you know it's less likely there's a 10 against you. If there's no 10, and no better wired pair, you actually have the best hand right now. That said, if you're playing this hand, you better play it fast with a bet or a check-raise. Fold if you see action. The last thing you want to be doing is just calling bets and raises with it. Fold it if your table is full of calling stations. You dont want to show it down. If you already know you have to show down to win, you may as well fold it now.
blueodum 0
Anyone with a 4 with a higher kicker is ahead as well. Plus, the two cards to come, unless one of them is a 10 or 4, will very likely make a better hand for one of your opponents (assuming more than 2 opponents are still in). With more than 2 opponents in the pot, hope to get a free card and hope to hit your 4. With 2 or less, you can try to bet them out of the pot by leading out or check-raising. If it doesn't work and the turn doesn't help you, you should fold if there is action....So if the board came 7777 and the guy held 2,3, would he say "I couldn't fold quads!"? Stupidity.
