woodsy 0
Definitely in, and Yahoo is the way to go, we're doing it rotisserie style i'm assuming?I would suggest a head-to-head league. I just think they are more interesting. Plus, you get to have a post-season.Mike
ajs510 122
We could just do both, that could get interesting...

Untilted 158
There has been close to 30 reponses. so it looks like there might be 2 leagues. My opinion is that since the selection of each teams players would have to be online, a regular draft would be easier than rotissirie. As far as heads up verus a super category points system, I am open to either one and we can discuss it later when all teams are confirmed and we have a meeting to discuss rules. I will certainly go along with the majority on this issue. As of 8/8, Yahoo is still not up and running for fantasy league hockey and I will let you all know when they are. Go Rangers. It looks like our top line will be Jagr, Nylander and Stratka. After that, we don't have much else. It is going to be a long season.

ajs510 122
I'd be interested! Perhaps Daniel (with the help of his people) could get one going on this site.I can't see how anyone could make Fantasy Hockey more painless than Yahoo already does, let's stick to the plan of hosting it there. I'm all for a live draft for the league, they're a lot of fun if you get a bunch of trash talking hockey fanatics in the chat during the draft. Can't wait for this, who's in charge of setting it up? If no one else volunteers, I'm happy to set up a couple of Yahoo leagues and post the entry info, I've done it before. There will have to be a discussion of which stats the majority of people want to have, as well as how many players, etc.
AceyDeucy 0
ajs...just set it up. Once it is set up, we can debate if we want to changed stuff, but it is easier to work from a set of knowns and change them as compared to a blank slate.

If you need any help/advice (which I'm sure you don't), I volunteer to help.Good natured trash talk is the backbone of fantasy sports. "You picked Lindros in the third round??? Did the fork in his pack come with him?"I read to much Sports Guy.
ajs510 122
Cool, as soon as they're accepting Private Leagues, I'll set up FCP #1 and FCP #2, and post the registration password. If more people want to play, I'll keep setting up leagues (although I think there's a max you can be a part of, now that I think about it). Actually, now that I think about it further, I should set one up, and someone else should set the other one up. I think if I'm commisioner on both I have to run a team on both. Wouldn't exactly be fair...
Untilted 158
Ajs510:I was going to set up both leagues once Yahoo got back to me regarding the start of their leagues but it might make sense for 2 of us to do it. I guess we can talk once they have every thing set-up. I was even open to playing in both leagues if we needed to get to 20 in 2nd league. As far as commissioner, we can decide that once the leagues are setup. Can't wait for the season to start. At least as a Ranger fan, I can have fun with the fantasy league while my team goes down in Flames
CoolHandLaw 0
On behalf of all hockey fans, thanks for setting this up. Much appreciated. goes down in Flames Untilted...you got that right buddy.GO! FLAMES! GO!
