MDBLakers 0
Lets put Luske, Bellande, Farha, Matusow, DN, Hellmuth, & Scotty at the same table -- now that would be something to watchI think you should throw Tony G in there. His mouth doesn't stop. Good for TV.Chau Giang and Men Nguyen make for good TV, also. IMO, they are the most entertaining of the asian players.I agree but sometimes they are hard to understand. And this is no dis on Asians I married one. But I agree Men the Master is great to watch.

ek703 0
i found it slightly entertaining, but mostly when jen played back at him. and when he got knocked out

SapphireTiger 0
i found it slightly entertaining, but mostly when jen played back at him. and when he got knocked outagreed.actually i didn't like him all that much but i liked that i didn't like him. he was definitly entertaining...and i do bleieve that it's the people and the jarring that people like to watch and not just the giant amounts of money moving across the table. ol'number7 0
I envision Bellande bluffing Hellmuth out of a big pot & starting with the "EXCELLENT laydown Phil, very good job" -- the possibilities are endless...
KingoDiamonds 0
I love during his pre-taped interview how he says he acts like he does to put guys on tilt. Wouldn't this be a better strategy if he didn't mention it on TV?
iveyfan30 0
thought this guy was kind of amusing..decent player, made a few plays that left me scratching my head...
VegasScribs 0
"Woo yeah, Go Jean-Robert" (turning to crowd) "what no" HAHAHAHAHAHA that was hilarious! I even had to use one of his lines myself yesterday. I ended up all in after the flop with top two pair against bottom two pair. Top two held up and I told the dealer "thats right, no bad beats at this table dealer!"
CaneBrain 95
Am I the only one here who thought Bellande was a douchebag? I think the only funny parts were when Jennifer made fun of him and he had nothing to say. The excellent laydown bs seemed really annoying. And plus, only queers wear beanies in a poker room.Everything, ESPECIALLY poker, needs villains/black hats. Bellande is a fantastic poker villain. Great TV.And to be honest I dont think he was a douchebag at all. He was self-deprecating when warranted. He just talks alot most likely to get people on tilt, etc. I enjoyed it immensely. socalpoker_j 1
I liked when Keller who was sitting to his left told him he would call him down with a 9 high if he were in the pot, when he got Lee to lay down his 77's and Ivey's deuces.I think it was Norman Chad that said, Bellande lost his first 3000, and learned some great lessons about poker, but it wasnt until he lost 200,000 more that he really learned about poker. Interesting.
Jeff 0
Nice hit? Nice hit? The money went in with the best hand bro, ok? Nice hit, HE made a nice hit...almost. Nice hit... I like Bobby
Kendren 1
Hated him first 30 minutes.Laughed at him next 30.aughed with him next 30.Missed him last 30.I thought he was entertaining and funny. Anybody with half a brain wouldn't be affected by his antics. He really had the guy that started to his immediate right rattled, though, the guy that pushed with AK to his 77 and J-R runnered the flush. Every time Bellande knocked a player out, he seemed to handle himself with some class. I'dd enjoy watching him in the later WSOP broadcasts (I think he made at least one televised FT there)

I think he is great fun to watch.I mean really is there anything malicious about going "excellent laydown, boys, excellent". Of course not.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Anyone else think he was sexy with his glasses on and not so sexy with his glasses off? Full pouty lips. Five O'clock shadow. Cute beanie. Uh..did I just type that. The internet is anonymous right?

Loismustdie 0
He made for great tv. Â I'd rather watch him all day over Ivey. Â Ivey is a great player, not great tv. Â That is why Daniel has such a large appeal, his table talk. Â Â We wasn't mean spirited either. Â Just having fun and even picking on himself. Â Fun to be at a table with. Â Until he takes your chips. Â Then all you have is a story. Â If I want a story, I'll buy a book.Ivey is great tv because he is a great player. LOLOLOLOLOL- Ivey is terrible T.V. Greatness has nothing to do with it. The guy is flat out BORING.
elkang 0
Off the table, Bellande seems like a genuinely nice and social person from what I observed. I look forward to seeing him at a table in the future. These are his results this year. No significant WSOP cashes but otherwise good showings.
Kendren 1
Yeah, I just remember seeing his name alot during cardplayer's coverage... he did have 2 WSOP cashes, interestingly in OH8 and 7S8. No FTs, tho. Ah, well, we'll see him again, I'm sure.
UMRebel 0
I hated him at first, but he does kind of grow on you as the thing went along. He admitted that he couldn't read, but that he knew Jennifer could. He said said that he didn't want to play her heads up. On second thought..... he may have just been hitting on Jenn
werm 0
one word: FRENCHthey are all the same.ever been to Montreal? they all act like that.I played a bunch of poker with some french guys in upstate NY close to the border once, and they were all assholes. I even called the floor a few times and had them made to speak only English at the table! LOL
