Like to hear the success of other players.For me, thought the day isn't done....25/.50 L HE +$56.95MTT $5.50 NL HE 118 out of 322...blah! -$5.50ST $6 NL HE 1st place $25 +$19Total today - + $70.45Not bad for me I guess. I mainly play SnG's but I have been reading Hold 'em for Advance Players this weekend and tried my new found knowledge in ring games this morning and was pleased with the result. But I had a bad weekend, was up a considerable amount, and decided to take my winnings to two $50 buy in tables on UB. Lost with AK with a flop of AK8 to pocket three's (I went all in after the flop and the idiot called, hit a 3 on the turn). So then I honestly went on tilt for a while there and lost more and more...so maybe it is a good thing that I can't play today. Link to post Share on other sites
- ThniK - 0 Posted January 17, 2005 Share Posted January 17, 2005 my success today was finally uninstalling pokerstars and full tilt from my computer so that i can save this paycheck to move into a new place! haha!so the only poker i'm getting for the next 3 wks is live games from my crapshoot friends or this forum, so keep the stories coming boys.oh yeah ...uninstalling ps b/c my last session *saturday* went like this...all withing 6 hands of one another.BR=$225.006man 2/4 limit holdem tables.bb: ak, flop two pair..guy hits runner runner flush..called me out with 3/6 suited with a raise preflop? wtf!sb. aj, flop comes nothing, but i'm HU with the bb so i bet he calls, bet on turn he calls..hit my ace on river he bets into me so i just call thinkin something is up and he hit the runner runner straight..bb next round...pp queens guy calls me out with ace 3 to the river and hits his ace on the end.2 off BB: a9 suited..flop the nut flush..guy catches runner runner to fill out his boat.so i got 56$ left..i say f.uq it and go to a 50 $ HU..my specialty..i got the guy down to 600 of 1500 chips..he goes all in preflop with king ten and i make a ballsy call with ace 9 suited...i flop the ace.he catches running 10's.we play about 5 more hands and he's at 1600 chips and im at 1400.pp queens..i bet preflop, he raises, i go all in.he calls without hesitation..king ten again...hit's his kingon the river!how many times can a guy be beaten with runners or a river? I didn't do much today.. +10 in .25/.50 and finished on the bubble in a 5+1 MTT.. so +5 Link to post Share on other sites

Went to play in a satellite for a big tournament they're hosting, but unfortunately they were done running the one table satellites for the night by the time I showed up. The Sheriff JBJ 0 Posted January 17, 2005 Share Posted January 17, 2005 Played badly in a cash game .50 / 1 $ at poker stars and finished down $40 overall.Switched to Victor Chandler and won a 9 player $15 +$1.5 S S T.Then a $25 1 on 1 heads up.Now finished for the evening here in the UK 2315 hrs and I am about $50 up on the day. Later that night I played 2/5 NLHE with a $300 max buy-in then you can buy-in for whatever your stuck. I did two more buy-ins all totaling $1200.There's so much action on this table which is why I like playing there. It's 9 handed and there was over 12k on the table. I had QQ down and make it $60 to go and still get 5 callers. Some of the seats aren't even seats - they're revolving doors. Link to post Share on other sites

I usually play Sng's @ Pokerstars but have been mixing it up with some $1/2 limit lately. So I startesd of in a $20/18 person sng and ended up 3rd, /$108 (approx). Nice start to the day! I was a little exhausted after that and while drinking some coffee decided to play limit but he only table available was .25/.50 and gave it a shot. Well having never played that low a limit there it was kinda nuts at first. They were capping the pot preflop with regularity and I was quickly down $10. So I tightened up, got my bearings and realized they were terrible and within an hour I won $27. Pretty good for that low a limit! QQ losing to 4 5 offsuit after a $5 pre-flop raise, and an all in with a 247 flop (lost $50 on that hand = $100 difference in bank roll), Turn 8, river 6. DAMNIT. Next, my AK calls a $5 pre-flop raise. Flop 2 3 K. I raise $10. 1 caller. Turn 5. I raise $5. 1 Caller. River 10. I raise $5, caller raises me $20, uh oh, I call. Caller shows a set of fives! CRAP. I have AA, Raise a $5 raise to $10. Flop comes 278. I go all in, and get a caller. he shows 9 10. Turn = Q River = J. F***!!! and on and on. Anyways, it was quite a bad run, losing about $700 in two days. Now I'm only up about $325 over the last month. Hopefully the cards turn around tonight. Link to post Share on other sites

I play at pokerroom.com since I have a Mac w/ no VPC. I generally find a table with about 4 or 5 people. I look for low stacks (under $10) and try and knock them out.
