Stylin_Fish 0
Looks like two of my picks are doing well now. Josh Arieh is around 26k in chips and Fischman has gotten all the way back up to 17k. Looks like Josh finally stopped paying so much attention to updates and started playing good poker. He hasn't had a new update in like an hour. I'd rather have him not make updates and do really good.

Cloutier has just arrived to inspect the situation here on day one. Passing by Barry Greenstein's table, he heartily slaps Barry on the back. Greenstein greets him with, "You want to sit in for a few rounds?" To which Cloutier replies, "You don't need me!" somehow choosing to ignore the fact that he's T.J. Cloutier. solo319 0
Log: Thomas "Thunder" Keller, Miami Jon Cernuto, Greg "Fossilman" Raymer, and Robert Varkonyi have disrobbed and are currently playing in the nude. custom36 5
According to gutshot.com: Harry Demetriou got all his money in on a flop of 9 10 Q with pocket jacks. His opponent called with KJ. However the turn and river both brought nines, giving Harry a full house to double him up. He now has 11,000. Go Harry :-) :-)That's just sick.

Demiparadigm 0
Date / Time: 2005-07-07 16:45:00 Title: Barry Busts One Log: Barry Greenstein goes all-in from early position for about $5,000. Players take their turns folding all the way around, seemingly afraid of Barry and his reputation for being an outstanding player. The last player to act calls immediately, putting himself all-in, and revealing pocket Kings. With a knowing nod that he's an underdog, Greenstein turns over A-K. It's the Poker Gods who give Barry the knowing nod, however, when an Ace flops, no more Kings fall, and Barry nearly doubles up.Why go all in from EP for $5K when blinds are 100/200? Who do you expect to call you?

elkang 0
Raymer is up to 43,000 making him the probable chip leader. He had 3500 when he went to the TV table... got Aces twice, all-in and Aces held up both times. The chip stacks at his table are pretty small too. They are on break now.

kfernandez 0
Someone shoot CardPlayer's blogger and tell him/her that Flack and his opponent both had 'sets' and not 'trips'. Pet peeve.Date / Time: 2005-07-07 16:54:00 Title: Layne Flack trips up and doubles up Log: With a board of A-10-5, Layne Flack checks, his opponent bets $600, Flack raises to $1200, his opponent re-raises $2,000 more, then Flack goes all-in, his opponent calls. Flack flips the killer, pocket aces, with his opponent dominated with pocket tens. Each of the two has trips, which is unfortunate for Flack's opponent. The turn and river shot blanks, and Flack doubles up to close to $28,000. Not bad for showing up fashionably late.

kfernandez 0
Raymer now up to 43k at the 15-minute break. It'd be the greatest feat in poker to win the ME back to back in this day in age. Lots of poker still to be played and until someone gets in the tens of millions with their chips, no one is a favorite.

A player just asked the dealer if when the board puts out 4 of a kind (for example 10-10-10-10-3), if a person's hole Ace plays. The dealer regretably informed the player he can't answer any such question. Was there even poker before the internet? Some players here today may actually wonder such questions.Wow. custom36 5
I got screwed!I went all in with 9-4 on an A-A-A-A board, my opponent turned up K-6, the river was a 2 and I lost!!!
kfernandez 0
Log: Some interesting things about the 20-minute breaks between levels: Apparently, some of the spectators don't fully understand what's going on. Now that quite a few tables have broken, the Rio has opened up some cash games. Once the bulk of the room clears out on break, quite a few spectators gravitate to the cash games and just continue watching, wondering why these players don't get a break. They should charge for viewing the ME with all these ****ing morons on the rail.
